2017 Corvette GS MRC upgrade

16 Vettes and counting…..
Based on my experience today, the new calibration kicked in after the operating temperature reached the normal range.....not before.....exactly as was written on my invoice.
Thanks for your input, though.

Things to know about before you do this this upgrade.
like you said the dealer has to have your car all day. to do this they have to wait for Chevrolet to send them the software program. they have to unplug everything, this means all your personnel settings will be gone. remember setting up all that stuff when you bought it new?? all will have to be reset. I know people that have had it done. this upgrade makes this car handle a little better on rough surfaces. at the race track. if you are a pro or semi pro driver. it might help you get that .1 or a .01 of a second at the track. Im a guy that likes to track my cars but im not that good. my driving skills are not going to change enough for me to pay $350 for this upgrade. I opted NO.
for what its worth this was just my decision. It sounds like you are going ahead and having it done. good luck i hope they do a good job on changing all your settings.I would be very interested on how it preforms on the track and if you can see a big or good diferance???
Note* I have a 2017 ZO6 without ZO7 package. Its my daily driver, too much fun to drive to let it set in the garage all day.

Dealer doesn't need it to keep it all day, no personal (this is the correct spelling) settings are changed, and the difference is truly dramatic.
But don't do it....you will hate it.

Ride in TOUR mode is much improved. More compliant and better damping. Cannot comment on the other modes, but to me, it was $ well spent.

I had this done to my 2017 GS last week. The car was at the dealer less than 2 hours and no personal settings were lost. The dealer advised that the new setting will not take affect until the car has set for 8 hours, but it does not need to be at the dealer. As previously mentioned ride harshness in Tour mode is greatly improved. Before, I could not tell any difference between Tour and Sport mode. Now it is obvious. Overall, I'm pleased with the upgrade.

I'm having my 2017 GS done tomorrow. I'll report results when completed. I'm looking forward to a smoother ride although I don't use Tour mode often. I wonder if there will be much of a difference in Sport mode.

Faster than Dominos 30 minute guarantee....
Took my 2017 GS in for the upgrade. Corvette specialist came in to talk to me about it and said..."I'm not sure it's available yet for your car and it says you have to let it sit for 8-10 hours after it's done"....I told him he had old information. It is available and it can be driven home after completion. By the way, this is the first one they've done. He didn't argue with me and my service advisor told him that I probably know more about the upgrade than him since all you nice folks on the Corvette Forum have kept me abreast of the latest and greatest information on the subject.
Now, for the actual upgrade. He took the car away and I proceeded over to the free shuttle since I couldn't wait for it because I needed to get back home to prep my house for another showing....don't ask, long story.
As I was about to get on the shuttle (25 minutes later) the tech came in and said "your car is done...go to the cashier"....wow...that surprised me. And for the earlier post that said it messes up your settings....it doesn't mess anything up.
When I first brought the car in, I drove it in Tour mode so I could do a comparison after the upgrade. Call me crazy, but I felt an immediate difference in the ride and steering, not only in Tour mode but also in Sport mode. It will sit in the garage overnight and I'll test it again tomorrow and report my findings. So far, it looks like the upgrade is worth it. We'll see tomorrow, although $350 for a simple software flash does seem a bit pricey.....

I agree, should be free for what we paid for these cars.

That is the correct number from the paucity of info I've found so far. I searched last week and found nothing except info on this forum, and the dealer I visited last week said he couldn't find it after I provided it. Will bide my time and pursue one of two options I have, either to find a willing and knowledgeable dealer (none so far) or embark on a DIY adventure.
