I might need some help for those fortunate enough to own this vehicle. Is the blue brake caliper color the same as the blue decals on the Carbon 65? If so, the 2018 order guide (and the Corvette Black Book for the 2018 MY) lists the caliper order code as J6B with a description of "Calipers - Blue Painted". However, early versions of the ordering system that GM sales employees use for order allocations listed this as "Caliper Color ZR1 Blue", which was originally discovered by Rick "Corvette" Conti back in April of 2017 (well before the ZR1 release date). This is also the same code used on the current 2019 ZR1 Corvette and the 2019 order guide. So, if the decal color and brake color are one and the same, that's probably the closest you might get.

There's also threads claiming that it could also be Paint Code 22U, aka Tacoma Blue.

Unfortunately, the order guide lists the fender graphics (23A) as just "Fender Graphics - Carbon 65", so really no information on that end.

I've wanted to paint the "Z" on my Z06 blue, so looking for the same answer! At one point, I was considering a blue stripe around my rims that matched the decal color; so I ordered a color palette of the striping material. What I found was that the color of the decals are the color of the calipers are different.

So far, I've not found a color code for the calipers or the decals! Like you, hope someone knows it!

Welcome to the Carbon 65 owners lounge! Every new pic that gets posted reminds me how great these cars look. Bet that looks awesome with the top down.

Man I can’t wait until the weather breaks here in Maryland. My new C65 GS has been sitting in the garage since I bought it in December and it’s starting to make me nutty.

#553 (M7 Z06) checking in from central Illinois. Waiting on the weather to cooperate so the splitter and skirts can (finally) go on...

Also, if anyone is interested in #341 (M7 GS): https://www.grimmchevy.com/VehicleDe...-IL/3202867153. Ask for Troy Scholl, truly a class act.

Look forward to seeing y'all on the highway sometime soon...

Those are euro-spec mirrors, have the turn signals in them, which might be why they are white.

Mine is #211. It is a Z06 with the Z07 package and manual transmission although it has been in the shop for the past month! Here is a link to a video I did of it:

Just picked up my Carbon 65 GS! Had planned to get a new GS with all the discounts, then stumbled on to this one for sale in Missouri and couldn’t pass it up. Love the color and all the carbon!

Today, I had new Michelin AS3+ tires installed on my Carbon 65 from my trusted (and well respected) tire dealer. Imagine my surprise when he told me my wheels were aftermarket wheels, and that they had China stamped on the back of them. Additionally, he told me the wheels didn't have a double bead block like other Z06 wheels. He also noted the machined groove in the wheels was different than any Z06 he'd seen previously. My first thought was that the dealer had switched wheels previously although I bought the car with only 3 miles on it.

After getting home, and looking at all the pictures here, it seems clear that our Carbon 65's have different wheels than standard Z06's (and Grand Sports too)? He also said two of my wheels were slightly bent and needed truing up. I can't remember anything substantial I've hit however.

Any of this info new news to you guys, or have you run into this yet?

I believe Diecastal is one of the OEM manufacturers that are tested and validated to supply GM. They manufacture most of their wheels in China- and from what I understand the plants are world class and highly automated.

In and of itself I wasn't too concerned about the origin of the wheels manufacturer. Just using the fact that it was stamped "China" as one of several examples of the difference the Carbon 65 wheels relative to other Z06 and Grand Sport wheels. I think my biggest concern at this point is our wheels don't have double bead locks. As a general rule, tires are VERY difficult to install on Z06 and Grand Sport rims because of the double bead lock. I'm somewhat concerned that our tires don't have them, as the double bead lock is an added security measure to keep the tire from rolling off the rim during extreme cornering or when the car actually slides in a corner.

I don't really know if not having a double block should be a big concern or not. I do know that either it's "overkill" on the standard Z06, or it's needed on our cars too.

Soon, I'll be taking my car back to the dealer to zero in on which wheels are bent, and how to go about getting them straightened. I think I should also point out that I've never hit any potholes or any "memorable" incidents that I can correlate to having caused me to have two bent wheels.

Just picked up #494 brand new. Grand Sport with M7, Xpel in all the necessary spots. Words cannot say how excited I am to have this car, being my first Corvette! Needs to be cleaned and detailed and then I can post some more pics.

Congrats! That’s one heck of a first Corvette. Where did you find the car? Before I bought mine in December there were not very many C65 Grand Sports with M7 left for the taking.
