Default Benefits of C7 Conv. GM Windscreen/WindRestrictor??

I have a 2019 Z06 Convertible on order. I intend to keep the top down as much as possible. During test drives with the top down (windows up or down) my wife had to keep her hair in a ponytail in order to keep it from flying in her face.

Request: I'd like to hear real world feedback on the GM Windscreen Deflector 23353688 or the WindRestrictor Wind Screen for the Corvette Convertible.

On some cars like my former SSR they make a big difference. I didn't have one on my 15 convert and didn't think one was required. My wife has shoulder length hair and had no problem. When I ordered my 17 it was available as a dealer installed option so I got the GM one. I don't notice any improvement with the wind screen.

I have one in my four-seat M3 and it makes a HUGE difference. I don't have one in my two-seat Z06 but it's as good without as the M3 is with one. So I assume there's not much benefit, but would also like to hear an owner experience.

Appreciate the photo. Looks like this windscreen is drilled directly into the tonneau cover.

Yes it is. Looks like a bit of a job to get it off, unless the receiving nuts are locked on. Haven't tried to remove it.

One other observation: at times you get a reflection off it in the rear view mirror..

I bought the wind restrictor for my 2016 convertible but did not like the reflection at night. Otherwise it worked great. If anyone is interested in mine let me know.

Compared to my last vert (C6) my new C7 has very little turbulence, haven't even thought about getting one.

I have the king Penn wind restrictor. Yes the current is better then the c6 but at highway speeds the buffeting is still annoying. I can have the top down at temps down to 58 and don't have to turn the stereo up. For me it was worth be it. With this wind restrictor takes 10 minutes to install you can leave it in and put the top up

This particular windscreen looks easier to install and seems to not require drilling into the tonneau cover. Do you notice any glare on it at night similar to other posters in this thread?

My wife and I always wear baseball caps when the top is down, which in LA is most of the time.
