Well, looking at the seller's feedback, a lot of folks are very happy with the products they've received. Seems to be a wide variety of related products but after a quick scan I didn't see any feedback on another roof. Seller only has one negative response in the last 12 months, so that's a positive sign and they offer 30 day returns. Another positive sign is they use PayPal and in most of my recent transactions involving them they haven't paid the seller until after I've received the item. All good things I think.
Having said all that, I'd have a hard time parting with $900 for something like this coming from Taiwan. I'd be concerned about the weave matching OE parts, clearcoat, what kind of headliner is there, does it come with hardware, etc. The listing is fairly thin on specific details. Personally, I'd be more inclined to pay more for one from this forum, with photos of the specific item, knowing exactly what you're getting.
So, could be a great deal, or could be trouble. You spin the wheel and hope you hit the jackpot. If you do buy this, please let us know how it works out.
Thanks,
Mike

I agree w. above; could be good, or not. I think you can ask a lot of questions and look for the answers to line up. But the big thing to me is, is it really a quality product and what happens if it isn't? Who do you return it to, or who makes the adjustment/repair/fix? If the seller is close to you, you can go look at it. If not, as said above by mcoomer, it's a roll of the dice.

Sounds to me that the listing is for the COVER ONLY. No mention of latches, hardware, liner, etc. Pretty skimpy description and pics don't tell much either.
I suppose an inquiry to them might be in order before proceeding further.

Looks like an overlay for your existing roof.
The thing I'd be most concerned about is the clearcoat. GM got a lot of attention for the clearcoat they designed for the C6 ZR1s exposed carbon. It's extremely resistant to yellowing and UV damage. I'd assume they carried the same tech over to the C7 parts. Maybe things have changed in the last few years, but most aftermarket carbon parts don't have such a high quality clearcoat.

To each their own. Seems like the extra thickness of the overlay would make it look like an obvious afterthought, as you will see a lip where it sits taller than the rest of the roof. You can kinda see that in the auction pictures. Wonder if the added weight might get annoying if you take the panel off very often, too.

There is a TON of carbon fiber stuff made in Taiwan. Place doesn’t matter anymore just the vendor and the factory used.

I'd say go for it. 1 negative feedback in the last year out of 264 transactions is very good. The only downside is the 20% restocking fee for returns.

That may be true, but for almost $900 for an overlay cover that sits on top of the OEM roof, OP would not be really saving any money. When given a choice where I can help it, I would try to buy American made.
I've had experience with carbon fiber products coming from Taiwan and China for other cars and they are at best hit or miss. "Perfect" or "Guaranteed" fitment to them means 80% fitment is acceptable and it's common that you have to make modifications yourself to get it to fit OK. For $300, I can accept that, but for $900, I rather find an alternative.

The 20% restocking is definitely a concern and also, who is paying shipping back to Taiwan? I would like to see a lot more detailed pics of the underside and how it lines up with the rest of the car once installed.

That's great. But 25-35% of Chucker's "America only" Corvette came from places other than America.
