Looks great Tom, congrats! I love how LBR looks in the bright sun, and living in Florida you know that you're going to be driving in the sunshine 95% of the time

2 of my local dealers already denied the 0W40 saying the GM system hasn't been updated yet for cars older than 19's, it still calls for 5W30. At the end of the day, 5W30 isn't going to hurt the car at all, so if it takes a few months got 0W40 who cares. I'll file it under "eventually"

I will put the new OW40 oil in eventually but I will never switch out the original oil cap because then my car would not be GM factory stock original.

Yes, given that my 18 was built within days of 19 production start, and has the 5W-30 cap, I would guess that's quite possibly the case. My car was delivered to Criswell a couple of days before that load showed up at Kerbeck.

It could also have been a mixed load of 18s and 19s, since the former were built until Friday, 1/26, and 19 production started Monday 1/29.

You could probably make a fortune selling that cap on ebay right now.
I think that I'll hang on to it for a while. It's fun looking at it while I practice checking my oil dip stick according to the prescribed protocol.

I hate the waiting part. I ordered in December and I thought this day would never come. Good luck and make sure you post when it comes in.

JC was great to work with. He's the one that talked me into waiting for the 19s and doing the black wheels. Very happy with them so far.

looks great! My 2019 should be here by the end of March. It's snowing right now so it makes it a little easier to wait.(not by much)
Enjoy!

Or, you could pull the VINs of our so called 2019s. We got over 20 on the ground with 30 more hitting Monday, but you're probably right. We're just telling people they are 2019s and hoping they don't notice.

I will be long gone in 50 years but the next owner will be happy that I didn't change out the oil cap!
