Default Where do you grab to close your door?

This may sound silly to some but where do you grab to close the door to prevent finger prints, grease , etc on the door & window. On my 997, I always grab or touch it by the handle. Since the C7 doesn't have any handles, I use my palm & shut it by the edge. What's your method or you just don't care?

edited: please read bold print before you reply w/smart A$$ answer. & yes I'm very OCD about it.. thanks

This is how I close my door all the time when getting out. I even have my wife trained to do it also.

I hook my index finger around the inside of that silver metal bracket and sling it shut. Wife does the same. OCD? Nah...just don’t like fingerprints on the door. Plus it’s pretty easy to do...so why not?

I push the exterior painted door surface with my hand. Is there another way?

Apparently so if you have serious OCD.

I do the same thing. I also noticed no fingerprints on the passenger door this weekend after driving my 16 year old son to the Toronto Auto Show, so without me even saying anything to him, he somehow figured out a way to close his door in a "good way" too. I guess it's in his blood

The "door dog" is a nice addition, especially on darker colors.

Same here. Hook my finger in the silver latch bracket and sling it shut with ease.
Make no sense to get greasy fingerprints and perhaps even risk fingernail scratches when it's so easy to avoid.

Personally, I would rather deal with the fingerprints.

Never gave it much thought, I just push it shut right now can't even tell you where I place my hand when giving it a shove to close it. Any fingerprints are easily removed with a bit of detail spray and a micro fiber towel.

I climb in the passenger side window and crawl over the console.

I usually push on the glass directly above the the top of the door where it is most rigid. I use my knuckle to avoid leaving finger prints. It would not bother me if my wife pushed on the painted door. The clear coat is really tough and any marks would come out with a little polish.

I usually exit thru the hatch and use the grab to close it. There is also always a microfiber in my back pocket.

I'm a silver door latch guy. Saw a post on here where a person was closing their door by pushing on the glass and had it shatter. I guessing you'd have to be near the top and pushing rather hard to do that, but it stopped me from using the glass.
