Am I missing something? HVAC controls
Is there a way to set the temperature (not fan) to high or low from the other side of the spectrum? Example: It was on high last night when I parked it at 3am. At 3pm when I drove it again, it was on HI. If I wanted it on low, do I have to spin the dial 10-12x? Annoying

Why not set it at the temperature you want and let the system approach that temperature? If you turn the heat on "high" it's not going to get any warmer any faster than if you set it at 72.

In the center screen settings menu, under comfort or some such language, you can set default max fan speed to high, medium, or low when using the Auto climate control feature. I have mine set to medium, w/ auto-on, and simply adjust the temp as necessary. You can always override it with the fan speed ****, but I am usually happy with it in the auto setting w/ fan speed no higher than medium.

Yes, it's AUTO, but unless you select max fan speed while in AUTO to medium or low, it can be very annoying.

OP: your answer is no. If you have the temp set to "high" you have to turn the temp down the required number of turns.

No one here seems to be listening or reading. In the center screen settings menu, the AUTO max fan speed can be set to high, medium, or low. Even if high is selected, it will eventually cycle down to low once it achieves the set temperature.
As I said, high speed is annoying to me too, and I believe that is the default setting. Once I set mine to medium as the max fan speed in AUTO, I now pretty much leave it in AUTO all the time.
Folks need to spend more time looking at all the settings in the car. They are not at all hard to understand if you just look at the settings. You really don't even need to read the manual to figure it out.
As I said, high speed is annoying to me too, and I believe that is the default setting. Once I set mine to medium as the max fan speed in AUTO, I now pretty much leave it in AUTO all the time.
Folks need to spend more time looking at all the settings in the car. They are not at all hard to understand if you just look at the settings. You really don't even need to read the manual to figure it out.

I always use Automatic Climate control on any car that has it.
I didn't know about the Max fan speed, I might change mine to medium as high is annoying sometimes.
I am incapable of understanding why people don't use the automatic climate control feature.

No one read his question perhaps. He just doesn't like how many times he has to spin the dial to go all the way from max hot to max cold.
No, there is no shortcut.
For the most part though turning it all the way to HI or LO is just a Type B personality trait, and it doesn't really heat or cool the car that much faster (though it can, unlike a typical house thermostat for example). It's like pushing the door close button in an elevator. It -might- be faster, but it's mostly to make you feel better.

Max A/C sets it to Low, if you have a Max Defrost button it sets it to High. All Fords work that way for sure. I am sure the Corvette has a MAx A/C, don't think it has a Max Defrost.

One of the nicest features of the Range Rover (and the BMW 7 series from which it was derived) is the center dial for cold-warm air out of the center vents - you can adjust its temp independently from the rest, so you have the AUTO temp set to 68F but the center vent has it's own temp roller for quick adjustments. I really miss that.
I don't think the Vette has even a Max AC button unfortunately, as that would solve most of the OP's concern.
