Heads up for the continuing 0W-40 adventure... There's a fly in the oil pan...
Just got back from the stealership as I had an oil change in June, and am planning to track the car this weekend, so wanted to confirm which oil was used... Yep... it was 5W-30, and they knew nothing of the April advisory bulletin,
After the rep tracked the bulletin down, he indicated (accurately) that it requires 0W-40 ONLY for the '19, and says that the oil "CAN BE USED IN 2014-2019 Corvettes with the LT1, LT4, and LT5 engines" They didn't have any 0W-40 and said they likely wouldn't have any till the '19s arrived...Unless GM comes out with a REQUIREMENT for all C7s to use the 0W-40, we can expect to see the 5W-30 in drums for the forseeable future..
My cynical side says this means that owners with cars still under the complimentary oil change program will likely be charged for the upgraded oil "at customer request", IF and WHEN it becomes available... Worth confirming before scheduling an oil change.
ADDENDUM - It is worth noting that this only becomes an issue when planning to track the car, as this bulletin allows the continued use of 5W30, which is fine for street use...

A number of people, including myself, have found the proper 0W-40 at their local dealer. In fact, when I asked our dealer about the new 0W-40 in April, they already had it on order but hadn't received it yet. About a month ago I was able to get the new 0W-40 in an oil change.
Some internet searching, phone calling, and luck; might find you a dealer in your area who could do the change tomorrow.

I had my '18 ZO6 in for an oil change a couple weeks ago, so I asked the Service Manager if they had the 0W 40 oil yet. He said they did have it, and they would put either that or the 5W in, my choice, so I told them to do the 0W. After the change, the Corvette Tech came out, told me he did the 0W, and replaced my cap with the correct one for the 0W 40, all was done no charge.
