Mobil 1 ESP Formula 0W-40 update

So, I just got a call from Novato Chevrolet that they just received some ESP 0W-40 Dexos2 oil, at $12 per quart. I asked the service advisor if they're able to use it for one of the included oil changes yet on my 17 GS, and he's checking with the parts manager. Anyone have any updates on if this oil can be entered into the service system yet for included oil changes on pre-19 C7s yet?
Update: They won't use the 0W-40 yet for an included oil change for anything older than a 2018, since they have not been directed by GM to permit that yet. I'd have to pay for the oil, but they would be able to submit for the labor and filter. They'd charge $9.50/qt for it. So, I think I'll go with 15W-50 for the track season, then move to 0W-40 at the end of the season when all of this has shaken out.

They were handing out the caps, at the Rolex, like candy, during the Mobil 1 talk.

I have learned a lot from reading this thread. Thank you.
Simple question please: Has GM released a P/N for the new Mobil 1 ESP 0W-40? If so, what is it please?
Thank you.

Mobil 1 ESP 0w-40 dexos 2 ?
Does anyone have an Exxon-Mobil product number for the 2019 new factory fill oil? Maybe in quarts or five gallon jugs? This so we can all get on the same page in the hunt for some?
I've already looked on the Exxon-Mobile web site, and the usual customer suppliers like WalMart and others to no avail. There are several similar products out there which create confusion.
Checked with three of my favorite Corvette dealers nearby. None had a clue; nobody had heard of anything.
I know, I know. Sit tight for a year and it will be everywhere...

Unfortunately that's going to be a tough question to answer right now since there are almost no people on here who have been able to switch from 5w30 to this new oil to compare. Most of the people here that do have the 0w40 in their C7s are 2019 owners and there are very few of them so far too (and they won't be able to compare a change in pressure from 5w30 either)
This is a question that will be best asked again in a few months time.

Midwest update for 23 March.
Where: St. Louis, Missouri
Dealer: Weber Chevrolet, serving the area since 1902, and Elco Chevrolet.
Contacted the Service Manager at Weber. He sez Weber Chevrolet is aware of the spec change, but has not been able to order the oil. They are putting in an order next week to see if it will be fulfilled.

Mobil responded to my e-mail query and they are sticking with the schedule of 6 months before the new 0W-40 oil will be readily available outside of the dealerships. But what gave me some concern is that they did not think that Walmart will stock it as they tend to only stock oil with wide applicability in their stores. That would be a bummer for me

As of early this week, Earnhardt Chevrolet in Chandler AZ did not have it in stock. Parts guy said his computer showed only two dealerships in the US with it in stock, one was in Florida and I don't recall the other. Looks like I'll have to use the old 5W-30 for the change next week.

I've been worried a lot about the fact that this new oil has such a small market when it first comes out.

That would be a huge blow for sure, as that means the price on this new oil is not going to be very good. It definitely doesn't look like we'll be finding 5 quart jugs for $25 like we can with M1 5w30.

If you don’t plan to run your car for extended periods in a high RPM range (4000-6500) then you’ll be just fine.

I know I'll probably be fine with either oil, and I will still see this engine hit 250,000 miles but I'm still anxious to run the new 0w40 nonetheless. As you've known for a long time, I'm a bit obsessed with motor oil and always like to try out the "latest thing". I'll have to wait and see the actual price difference once it's available though, and determine whether or not it's worth it to me in the long run to use it. I don't track the car but I do like to make full throttle blasts as often as I can. My normal 20 minute drive home from work tonight took me 2 hours because it is a nice sunny day and I wanted to drive it on some deserted back roads and "blow some carbon out"
