Where to position jackstands on front cross member without hitting plastic shield?
Changed the oil for the first time in prep for going to VIR in a few weeks. Same basic layout as my old C5s but I was leery of putting the stands in the middle area 12" apart as the pads would have hit the plastic or been on the bolt heads that attach the panel to the cross member. I put them out a little wider but the crossmember isn't flat here.
Spots I chose... not a fan for next time.
Forum member with them in the right spots but pads hitting one of the bolts.
GM's recommended spots...

You're using the old picture there.
You can in the front jack right up on either cross member (the ones that are in front of and behind the spring).
In the back you should only use the forward one (the one further into the car), but I've used the back one with no ill effects.
It's in the 2016 (and I would assume all) C7 Service Manuals.
I always put jack stands on the jacking puck locations.
