Who mounts Corvette tires
I’ve now been to four tire stores. All national tire companies. Three said that wouldn’t touch them. One company said they could change them but would not guarantee the rim would not be damaged. I will check with the dealer tomorrow. Any advice?

Would you please name the national tire companies who refused you?

From what I hear there is a machine that makes it easy, I wouldnt take it to anyone who didnt have the machine -- Try asking your dealer who they send their cars to

I've run into the same issue in this major metropolitan area. What they generally say around here is that they cannot guarantee no wheel damage. That actually happened at a Tire Rack recommended installer, which was listed as able to handle large wheel sizes when I purchased an AS3+ set for my C7. I had them drop-shipped there, and that's what they told me when I arrived. I picked them up and took them elsewhere.
Dealers who sell more than a few Corvettes have the Hunter machines that will handle C7-sized tires, so that's who I use. They've promised no damage or they are responsible. They have been more than happy for me to bring a set of wheels and tires I purchased elsewhere for mounting and balancing.

Going through the same exact issue. Had Tire Rack send the tires to NTB (National Tire and Battery) NTB doesn't have the machine. I'm taking the tires to Kerbeck next week for installation. (I even called NTB to make sure they could do it first...uninformed employee said they could...Manager confirmed they couldn't).

Yep, Merchants was the Tire Rack-recommended shop I shipped them to and advertising they handled large wheel sizes, and NTB said the same thing when I called. Ironically, Merchants is also a highly-rated company.

Stear far away from Discount. I have used them for many years on prior Vettes. But when I wanted the OEM tires dismounted and remounted so I could have my rims powder coated, they managed to slice the bead and ruin one tire totally, and two others they managed to cut the rubber on the side wall!
And of course they would not admit they did it. At least they did not scratch the freshly powder coated rims.

Discount Tire is my go to for any type of tire service. Three sets on of Michelins on our C6. Now, a new set of Michelins on HRE's for the C7. Standard suspension car, we went to Z51 spec wheels and tires. Always perfect.

Discount Tire is almost completely absent from the mid-Atlantic and NE US, which is the most densely populated part of the US.

Another vote for a dealership, which I’ve had success... Obviously there are good ones and bad, but call around to see if they have a certified Corvette tech and their comfront level mounting tires.

I had Michelin pilot sports dismounted and the A/S 3+ mounted and balanced on chrome Z51 wheels at Costco in Hazlet NJ. They did a great job and were extra careful. It took a day but they waited for a certain tech to do them.
