Default After 5 months...

Last fall I had a triple bypass, with complications and spent 8 weeks in intensive care. I finally got out of the hospital a few days before Christmas, and the recovery has been slow, to say the least. They discovered I had "Pulmonary arterial hypertension" while I was on the table. I found out I am damn lucky I can still function.

Anyway, Today I got my 2014 Stingray out of the garage. I took it to a car wash that washes the cars by hand, and they know how picky I can be. (It must have had 1/8 inch of dust on it) It came out beautiful, (NRB) and the wife and I took about a 100 mile ride. Damn it felt good. It's still a bit difficult exiting the car, (my C-5 is easier), but I got her done. 80 Degrees here today.
Good to be back in the saddle.

Good News I think you were short a X On the shirts if you were 320? Hate to say i would've had some type of a Heart dysfunction watching someone else wash my GS.

This is a great story Phanni. I know what you went through. My dad went through this procedure to. He was as tough a person as anyone and he had endured great pain. He lived many years after he had this surgery. And now you get to play with your toy. Life is good! Here’s to your health.

Not trying to be preachy here, but you have hit a raw nerve with me.
Please reach out to me as one of my goals is to help people in your situation.
I'm not afraid to state my views, and some people may have difficulty with this. I'll never apologize for this.
My wife is alive today because ( not bragging) of me.
Fact.
I'll give you my cell if you want.
C7/C8 whatever is so insignificant to all of this.
I know this is OT but I implore mods not to remove this.

Thank you for sharing. I’m sorry to hear all the things that you were going through but it is awesome that you have recovered. It’s good to hear that you are back in the saddle. This just goes to show how much fun these cars are looking forward to driving again after going through all of that.

Glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery. Your prognosis should be good considering the drugs and treatment that are available in this fantastic time we live in. You and your wife will have many many years together. Enjoy!

Life events put everything in perspective, your blessed that you’ve got an other opportunity to spend time with family. I can’t imagine the grins you both had on your face the entire drive. Enjoy your new life to the fullest!

It is nice to here you are recovering and are getting out. A clean Corvette and a good drive can do wonders on a person's attitude.
