GM warranty for factory wheels
Hello everyone
i am thinking about switching my wheels to a set of gloss black ones but I wanted to know if GM only warranties wheel purchased from them or from any vendor? When I say warranty I am only talking about wheel cracks as they are very prone. I have already had one wheel replaced for it cracking. I have a 17 GS.
Thank you everyone.

Purchase some better quality rotary forged or forged after market rims. I love my Crays.

I spoke to a service adviser at Chevy and they said it would have to be bought from GM and then you would have you buy the tire/wheel warranty insurance. So with that being said it might just be cheaper to buy another brand or maybe the re-productions are built better. I want to stay under $2000 for wheel so I will keep looking, I see people selling OEM's but I am afraid they will be just as susceptible to cracking so I wouldn't go that route.

GM will only warranty the wheels that it left the factory with or GM wheels purchased through a dealer. Aftermarket wheels should come with their own warranty.

There are actually some very nice wheels out there in GS/Z06 sizes that you can get at your $2K price range. You don't hear about quality aftermarket wheels cracking that often. I would definitely go the aftermarket route before purchasing another of the same set, which typically sell for right around $2K on here.
