Fun Reactions to My Corvette from Strangers
I’ve had my C7 Corvette only 3 months and I’m amazed at all the positive reactions it gets from other people.
I was filling up gas the other day and a guy in his mid 20s driving a beater stopped in front of my car and yelled “Beautiful car man beautiful just beautiful” and he smiled and gave a thumbs up.
Today I was stopped at a traffic light and a pedestrian was walking down the street towards me. He looked at my car and grinned and started playing air guitar and dancing a jig all while staring at my car. He walked up next to the passenger window and bent down and excitedly praised the car while laughing with glee.
I’ve had lots of people give me smiles, thumbs up and happy words.
I am not a cool person per se but it’s fun owning a cool car that elicits such happiness in strangers.
My brother has a 1974 C3 Stingray and he says strangers at gas stations often come up to tell him what a beautiful car he has.
I just thought I would share that. I’m sure all of you get positive reactions to your Corvette from strangers. Feel free to share your stories...

It's funny, but my triple black '14 convertible got very little reaction except for an occasional, "that's badass." My identical in every way Sebring Orange '18 has people craning their necks and reaching for smartphone cameras, with frequent thumbs at traffic lights.

Just today, while driving home from work, someone in a VW bug pulled up along side on the interstate and started snapping photos of my C7 with his smart phone. Funny thing is that my car is really dirty at the moment, in desperate need of a bath, and it still gets that kind of attention...

Some colors do attract the eye more than others and Sebring Orange is one of those that do. My Blade Silver with black trim/badges show off the car’s individual beautiful lines quite well and gets lots of compliments. I never thought I would get a silver car but the Corvette in silver with the black contrasts really pops.

I agree. I usually despise silver cars ("no sale silver"), but the C7 in silver is just perfect. I had originally factory ordered a silver coupe, but the dealer lied about having a build allocation (he didn't). I eventually cancelled the silver coupe and took a white 'vert of the floor of a competing dealer. The white is just as pretty. This is one era of corvette that the lighter cars look the best...

the visual pull of chrome
my 2012 torch red GS conv (chrome on chrome on chrome) got more of a rise (both positive and negative (i.e., hey lets race)) then my 2014 Torch Red 1 lt 7mt conv...my guess? I've gone with the black; wheels, brake calipers, stage one splitter and side skirts (obviously the roof as well). Far less attention and that's just fine with me.....a wave from other owners is plenty for me

I'm glad my new C came with a 35% side windows tint. You can hide out and folks cannot tell whether you see them, as they cannot see who is driving other than your outline. Getting Shanghaied is not predictable where or when. The C7, is on everyone's radar when it is in sight of them. I get almost as many reactions when fueling my small diesel RV at Walmarts/Murphy Oil, as I do in the C7.

The C7 is a magnet.
I get tired of having to acknowledge it.

With the weather getting nicer I had two instances yesterday with guys coming up to talk about the car. The second guy was a C5 owner years ago and after getting close with my C7 he said he was gonna buy one. He had a nice 997.2.
