I personally like the medium to lighter colors on the C7's because they show the lines, creases and scoops better than the darker colors. Then when people get a really dark color, with the carbon flash option and black monotone wheels it just, in my opinion, does nothing for the car.
Funny thing on the c7, I like them in every color except Sterling blue, i have not been a fan of white or red vettes since the c3, but i like the c7 in both of those, even the blue which i usually dislike on all cars is popping. For me im a Black on Black, or Watkins grey guy, but these things look good in just about any color.
I had a chance to buy a green (repainted) 66 convertible back in 83 and had to pass on it.
Ever since I have wanted a green corvette. In 2014 right about when we started shopping my wife needed brain surgery and put off the search till early 15. We passed on a new green vert so we could have more interior space for road trips. By this time all the green coupes were all sold. Incredibly we found what we were looking for used.

Night Race Blue
Watkins Glen Gray
Admiral Blue
Cyber Gray
Shark Gray
As you can tell I am mostly into darker blues and grays - all with black interiors.
My 2014 was NRB and my current 2018 is WGG.
I drove 3 hours to pick a color and wheels. I left Macmulkin with a toss between Admiral Blue and Watkins Gray.
Black wheels were a clear winner and I picked Admiral Blue. My 82 year old father in law, who took the ride with me, leaned over on the ride home and said "you know, that gray is very rich". So I got Watkins Gray Metallic.
Would someone like Mike Furman, Dave @ Kerbeck, Rick Conti,, or Tommy Thompson that has Corvette pull with GM, please request some pizzazz, (intensity) be added to the Corvette Blade Silver colour?
I originally wanted a white Grand Sport....until I saw the WGG in person!
I bought my '17 WGG Grand Sport w/black interior a couple of months ago.
Thats wild! When my wife n I went to look at a new vette last spring I was originally thinking I’d buy white as they had one white and 2 WGG that were all identical. Fell in love with WGG. Just seemed perfect for me!
