Stupid 4 post lift
4 post lift almost got in the way of my C7 drive in theater experience....kidding. Cheap shelf radio in my garage was hit or miss and took me 45 min so don't judge, so now I can stream pandora to it via rca cables...watch sling, netflix, youtube how to videos in the garage.
So when you have crap weather and can't drive the car, feel free go post your garage time waster project.
Left over tv, swivel mount, and a roku and 3 beers later....and this is C7 related becuase my car is in it ....so there.

Yeah, no interest in panting. I am a garage purest and love the patina. Lol
What are the current requirements for that a/c or heater unit?

Builder didn't do a finish coat on the drywall or sand and I am not about to waste MY time doing a 3 car garage to make it look pretty. If this was dedicated detached toy shop, I would care. This is a functional, well used garage that serves a purpose just like an ugly chick still at the bar for last call. She ain't pretty, but gives me something to park my car in

Nothing wrong with a TV in the garage...that was one of the first "accessories" my garage acquired when I bought the house.
I was excited to get one of those ductless HVAC systems for the garage as well...right up until I got a quote for one. The excitement dissipated quickly.

It will be ideal to watch YouTube "how to" videos for car care or mods instead of my phone and music via Pandora vs antenna was the main reason for this....oh and I was bored.

It draws under 15 so I have it on a 20 amp service. Works great - my 3-car is ~630 sq.ft.
It's a heat pump. I got a great deal on it including installation, although, you can do it yourself if you're mechanical. It came pre-charged so no filling is required.
Here's the outside unit.

I believe my Mitsubishi hyper-heat unit was ~$3-4K installed, don't recall exactly as it has been a while

Looks like a great addition to me. I spend a lot of time in the garage wrenching on my cars, so I usually listen to music via YouTube to my phone and Bluetooth speaker system. We are having a house with 3 car garage built and one of my first additions to the garage will be an Internet TV so I can stream music videos, watch ball games and races, and "how to" videos. I'll probably need a larger beer fridge too!

Yeah, I have the sunflower propane Mickey Mouse ears that bolt to the tank, but I have to worry about carbon dioxide poisoning so I open the garage a little when using it. My garage only has 1 exposed wall and the door to the elements. The rest is insulated by the house so it never gets too cold in there.
This looks tempting for $1500. I do all my own work and have access to the electrical pannel in my garage. I ran my own 60 app sub panel to the basement and wired all that when I finished it so no issues for me doing the work.

For most insulated 2 car garages, a 12k btu unit is more than enough. For shop space or 3rd car, I would up to 18k and have capacity to recover from a door open and close. The mini-splits really are pretty easy to install and very efficient.
