Same 6'2 and got lots of room with the transparent roof however the posts above are right on the mark with getting custom seats. Dang those are expensive though.

I have transparent top, helps a lot. My head still hits top with helmet. Spring Mountain gave me an exemption to using a helmet. When I autocross, I have the top off. Motor Sports park in Bowling green didn't require a helmet.

I'm also 6'2" and while without a helmet I fit, I'm staring right at the windshield header bar if I tilt my head up (so I can't see traffic lights if I'm the first car in line unless I look through the top).

However with a helmet I don't fit.

Maybe if I laid back in the seat more (I sit relatively upright), I could fit, but I like to keep my seat to seat back as close to 90 degrees as possible (and yes I do have my seat bottom slanted back as far as possible maybe a 4 inch drop from the front of the seat to the back).

Not the best picture, but here is how I have my seats (passenger seat bottom is also tilted way back like mine)

6'2" here and felt it was a tight fit and would have liked a little extra leg room. Just returned from the garage and I may have just learned something.

Yeah the issue is if the seat back is reclined and touching the bulkhead to trip the sensor the seat base won't move it all. So many tall guys think there's no room.

I’m 6’4” and no go with a helmet. At Spring Mountain I had to get a waiver and go without a helmet.

Thanks for all the replies, fellas! I maybe have to find a C7 in my area with a transparent roof and comp seats....make sure the seat back is forward before adjusting the seat base all the way down, and give it another try with my helmet!

To answer your question "where are all the tall guys".....well, in my case, continuing to drive my 10 year old C6 until GM gives us more room in a new Corvette.

Default Curious what the seat sensor does?

I see lots of references to folks saying, just unplug the sensor for an extra 1/2" of leg room, but what does the sensor do? Why is it there in the first place

Nothing in 10 years to meet your standards.

To stop you from damaging the seat motor and track now that the seat back is power too.

That's one cutey-pie passenger you got there!

Thanks She loves riding in it. Open the garage door and she goes, "Dada Car... VROOM VROOM!" Santa got her a Mercedes SLR push car for Christmas 2016 when she was too small for it, funny how close it resembles the C7 I ended up with: white, chrome wheels, clear tails.

Sure....up until the C7 and the more constrained (for me anyway) interior it has. In the meantime, the 2008 has been one of the best car I have ever owned. Hoping GM will take pity on us tall folk in the future.
