Default Has this (finally) happened to you?

You gaze out at your mechanical mistress with the beverage of your choice in hand and you nod quietly and say to yourself, "I am done modifying her, I will not do any more mods nor spend any more cash on her." Is it possible that you now own a car that you will NEVER DO ANY FURTHER MODIFICATIONS TO?

Would you even admit it to yourself and your friends and family? "Hello, my name is ___________________ and I've decided to end this addiction. (Hi _____________)" Don't tell anyone but I may have reached that stage.......is this the end of life as I know it? Will the Earth change on it's axis? Will I no longer receive any e-mails from companies which sell Vette items? Wow, I need to sit down.........

I can honestly say that after 3 years and 5 months of ownership i have yet to do a single mod to my car.

First sports car ever i could say that about.

15 Z51 I did a bunch to, 17 Z06 is nearly a virgin, tint, window valet and that's it. Probably keep it that way.

been there, done that. But, I lied to myself. 7 two seat sports cars and it has been that way with each one. Two Opel GTs (before I could afford a real Vette) and four real Vettes. I can say that I have never modified any of my 200+ Corvette die cast models. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...lies/smash.gif

14 Stingray 3LT, Z51 I did Xpel on the front, a ceramic coating, window tit in the first 4 days of ownership. Since then I did the skip shift delete for my manual car so It never tries to make me go 1 to 4 on the shift. Then I did the radar detector hard mount and wire. Nothing in the 3 years since.

Well, except I traded it. I get the 18 Grand Sport Friday or Saturday.

I've found over the years (more than I care to confess) that if I own enough vehicles, yes, I do get to that point with most of them... eventually. It seems the C7's time arrived quicker than most in this regard.

Most mods diminish your C7's value.

With that in mind, after I installed it's Weather Tech floormats, I was done.

I'm sure there's a couple of you out there in modville that have a 20' whip antenna installed for your CB radios.

As the years go by I try to mod less. I've had several "gotta pay to play" cars that were modded.

So far only a Mamo PTB after a year of ownership.

I name my Corvette. It’s called My Little Blue Vette. Is there a problem here?

I haven't done any mods to my car for quite a while, but that doesn't mean I haven't thought about it. Doubt the time will come when I don't think about doing mods to a car I own, even if they are minor in nature.
