What would you do?

If you think you are going to keep the car for many years do it. I bought my ZO6 for my 50th birthday. I plan on keeping it forever so I bought exactly what I wanted and am glad I did. If you are going to trade your Corvette in a couple of years anyway just wait, something better will come out.

From a financial standpoint it would not be a wise thing to do. From a passion standpoint what does being wise have to do with it? If you were on your deathbed would you say to yourself: I sure am glad I didn’t get that Z06...?

If you really want it and it is going to be on your mind if you do not get it, and the money is not an issue then get it.

I've been thinking about this. If you can afford it, go for it. As simple as that. A 10K hit over the long run for someone that can afford it is no big deal. You got a decent discount off the Z06, so it would be like paying 3K under MSRP for it.

Why the Z? Horsepower the reason? Widebody the reason? Track the reason? You may be able to do mods to meet the why. If the only reason is to say you have a Z, then no mod will help so just do it unless you think the regret will pass.

Go for it. That is not a serious hit financially IMO and the Z is one sweet car.
I don't get hung up on what I should have done, but please let us all know if you learn to make time go the other way. I make the wrong decision often enough that I have learned to live with my choices or fix them when I can.
Any Corvette is a real luxury toy and if you can afford it, I say that you should be driving exactly what you want.

Shop around. You might be able to find a better deal/trade. The power difference will definitely put a smile on your face... What’s that worth to you?
