What should I do ?
Hello all, l have a tough decision to make. I have a chance to buy a 2015 c7 Zo6 1lz with 5900 miles on it and get rid of my 2017 2lt grand sport with 4700 miles on it. The grand sport is blue with the heritage package and the ZO6 is white. Need a few opinions Thanks

I’d keep the GS.

You haven't shared with us the reason for the upgrade. If I would have known my promotion would have prevented me from driving my Z06 as much as it has I wouldn't have gotten it. I love driving mine, it will 3 years old this Wednesday with only 14k on the clock. If I were you I'd keep the GS.

Look around. There are plenty used 2LZs available if you want to keep the similar package. If that’s not important, then get the Z06 with the 1LZ.

Don't do it.
No one ever said; "I wish I had bought a 1LT, instead of their 2LT or 3LT."

Melting Slicks
1) How often are you using all the power your GS provides?
2) How much do you appreciate the many extra features of a 2LT Heritage Package, and the several added features of a 2017 over a 2015 car?
If you really feel you need more power, that's a point for the Z06, if not, it's a point for the GS.
If you really appreciate the added features of your current car, that's a point for it, if not, that's a point for the Z06.
Unless you've got two points for the Z06 under these terms and none for the GS, don't bother making the change.
I personally wouldn't make the trade, but that's the way I would add the points--two for the GS, none for the Z06. It isn't necessarily how you would add things up.
You might include any other factors you value in your calculation, for example the differing warranty coverages and colors, and any additional cost to make the change. (I tried to keep the calculation simple.)

Some drivers don't care for the 2LT options. You may be one of them. But either way I would take the extra 190 HP hands down. I only have a Stingray, but my son has a Z06. I made the mistake of driving it. You don't have to be driving it hard to the floor to enjoy it. The torque feels so good! And by the way. His is a 1LT. The only thing he would use the 2LT package is the front camera. He doesn't care for the other items. Those items are very subjective. The Z06 is so much better if you like raw pure power. And don't let anyone give you the old, "what ya gonna do with all the power" refrain. You'll find out my friend!
Whether it makes economic sense for you I don't know.

That's a difficult choice. It sounds like your GS is a nice one. I personally would think twice about the trade. What I mean is this: You have a fairly well-optioned GS (heritage package, good trim level) and you're going to buy a stripped out Z06. If I were in your shoes, I might wait until a more "well optioned" Z06 comes along. They are out there, and there are going to be more out there, especially with the ZR1 coming out.

You left out the dollar spread involved in the switch. Personally, I would go for the Z06 strictly for the extra 190 HP-to me that beats the 2LT extras.

Simple if you want the Z with the added power then go for it. Make sure there are no options that you feel you must have that are not on the Z and that's it.

By the way, I wouldn't say that a 1LZ is exactly stripped.

Dollar spread
In terms of dollars, its $40.00 a month plus $1600.00 for stage 3 aero because this car has no aero. Also I need to either powder coat wheels gloss black or purchase black wheels, nickel finish does nothing for a white car.
