Where did common sense go?

I read about the first two paragraphs. The author posts more disclaimers than a corporate lawyer. I lost interest before getting into the meat of the review. The Corvette and Mustang are both great cars in their own right. I like both, and would own both if I had the money. But since I can only buy one, I'll go with the Corvette.

Exactly, my point being that in his simple 460hp engine vs. 460hp engine comparison, he has all that he needs. The OP saying it should be Stingray vs. GT is inconsequential, when really the author would end with the same result, in a simple engine v. engine comparison as stated.

First, reviewers from all sources often do this kind of thing; secondly, consider the source in this instance. All are free to compare and contrast whatever they wish; we have the option of ignoring any and/or all of it... simple enough.

Hmm... BUSINESS INSIDER doing car reviews... Whoda thunk it? What's next? Car and Driver analyzing stock PE ratios and current GDP trends?
Any valid comparison should be of COMPARABLE items... IF a 'Stang/'Vette comparison was to be made, the most LOGICAL comparison would be the Mustang GT and the Stingray, or GT350 to Z06, and using COUPE vs COUPE or VERT vs VERT... To compare "trunk space" of a coupe vs a vert just screams for a flag to be thrown on the play.
It is worth noting that most "professional" auto mags run the Mustang against its natural rivals Camaro, Charger or Challenger and the Corvette against the 911 Porsche, Audi R8, Jaguar F type or Ferrari 458... The only similarity between the cars used for this "comparison" is that they have four wheels and an engine. NOTHING else matched.
FWIW, I own an '11 Mustang GT Premium 6M that I was looking to upgrade to an '18 to get the new digital displays, tech toys and styling... My well equipped '11 GT had a sticker price of $37k. The '18 I spec'd was over FIFTY GRAND. For a MUSTANG!! (The inflation rate since '11 has been 1.62%, or $377 on the original window sticker)
When I discovered I could get a '17 Stingray for a couple of grand more after all the rebates 'n' stuff, it was the biggest no brainer in the history of mankind... Basically, Ford priced me into the 'Vette, for which I shall be eternally grateful.
While the Mustang is a fine car, and I really enjoy it, the C7 'Vette is at "the next level", being designed from the ground up as a performance/handling machine with stunning styling. Lee Iaccoca created the Mustang by dropping a beautifully designed body on a Ford Falcon chassis that has been pulled, pushed, stretched and molded to its present form... It's a MUSCLE car that handles well, while the 'Vette is a PERFORMANCE car that goes fast. The Mustang is enjoyable, but its engineering is not in the same league as the C7. The Mustang is great, but the 'Vette is FANTASTIC.
BOTTOM LINE...WHAT A CROCK! The BI article is useless CLICK BAIT that was written by a Mustang fan boy, compared two utterly UNMATCHED cars and represents a half hour the reader will never get back... Whatever BI paid for that "review" they got ripped off.

For anyone who misunderstood my question: I love the GS, Z06 and ZR1 phatass, don't get me wrong. I just don't/didn't know. I tried to do a comparison online, but got lost in the options. I'm sticking with my least expensive Stingray 2LT/A8/PDR until year C8/ZR1.

Are Grand Sport C7s; "4.6 liter" engines?? Thought the LT1, is 6.2 liters.

It's a good thing the writer of the GT / Gs comparison didn't do this one:

Business Insider? Really? Look, it's a happy talk article with lots of pics and little substance. Happens all the time. The guy got paid. Now he's writing something else. It might even be on business. The only question is why you went to business Insider for definitive news about automobiles and further, why it bothered you enough to complain about it. There are a lot of lame articles published every day, but there are more lame forum posts. This is probably one of them.

I saw this write up last night and laughed when they said you could only fit a duffel bag in the corvette. How can you compare a convertibles trunk space to that of a coupe? The whole write up was flawed and faulty made me laugh. However If I was buying a pony car I would choose the mustang over the Camaro.
