Default Admiral Blue production to come to an end!

I just learned from GM that Admiral Blue will be coming to an end. The last chance to order it will be June and the buildout will be in August. Admiral Blue now joins Watkins Glen Gray Metallic as colors that will be ending. The last month to order Watkins Glen Gray is May and that color will buildout in June. GM says replacement colors are coming soon.

I think you might mean Laguna Blue and I love it. Admiral Blue is nice too, but doesn't catch one's eye as much IMHO. My 2014 Stingray was Laguna Blue and so is my 2016 Z06 that I have now.

Or because they didn't sell well.

http://www.corvetteblogger.com/2018/...te-model-year/

Admiral blue: 7.3%
Black rose: 2.3%

I'm slightly surprised at losing WGG though. That was the 4th most popular color in 2018.

Mostly because many Dealers don't want to stock them on their lots, premium colours MSRP out for more, I paid extra for DSOM. I do think that they should allow you to order whatever colour you want, they can make you pay even more for that, for some of us, that would be worth it.

If more people saw those colours, more might purchase their cars in those colours. I can't recall seeing Black Rose up here in Canada, which is a shame.

True, but then again, they never keep grays (or blues) for very long though...time for new shades!

My first C5 was pewter...that didn't last long either. But the spiral grey metallic that replaced it was even better.

That's a matter of personal opinion - I had a 2000 pewter coupe and absolutely loved the color. Wish they would bring it back in the new cars.

Still hate to hear that Admiral Blue is going away - it really is a beautiful color on the car.

.... Or perhaps new colors might help stimulate lackluster Corvette sales.

That’s what I’m thinking.
Jet Stream Blue would be cool.

Knowing GM, they'll replace it with yet another dark color -- another gray or near-black blue that they seem to love.

What about new brighter color options, GM?

Matt, I'm just glad that they still have black like the Z06 that you just ordered for me yesterday.
Thanks for the great service and deal! Glen

Torch Red is the best bright red IMO. One time my friend brought over his Victory Red C6 Z06 and you could clearly tell my Torch Red was brighter and stood out more.

All their grays have been good and I'm happy they change em up. Do we really want the same shades every year?
