I traded up from a '16 Z51 Coupe in Laguna Blue to a '17 Grand Sport Convertible in Admiral Blue. In bright light, the Admiral Blue is awesome, but in darker conditions, it doesn't pop like Laguna Blue. Oh well. At least I got it with my second favorite color.

Interesting. And, some said Long Beach Red wouldn't last very long...

I wish .......
I wish that one of the new colors
would be a Light or Medium Brown
Metallic. I would get a 2LT Coupe
with Kalahari or Brownstone interior.
I think a Light or Medium Brown
Metallic color would look classy.
Just have to wait and see.

I will be interested to see it's replacement, but did like Admiral Blue quite a bit, especially when it's in the sun.

I remember posting here several years ago I wished they would bring back LeMans blue, then when they offered Admiral Blue I thought that was as close as they were ever going to get in my lifetime, so I had to order one. Best colored Vette I have owned.
3 or 4 model years seems to be the lifespan on any given flavor of blue.

Thanks to GM dropping Laguna Blue for Admiral Blue, I drive a '16 Z51 instead of a 17 GS. I had planned on get a 17 GS in Laguna Blue, but had to change my mind and was fortunate to find my 16 LB Z51 in June 16.

Hope they release the new colors for the bash next month. Rotating colors keeps the selection interesting. Mabe stiring a hornets nest for some but I think they should also change up the silver, torch red and white shades. In the end if you have your favorite color then it makes your car that much more special.

Interesting news. Glad I got my order in this week for an AB z06! If not for Admiral Blue, I would have gone Black. Laguna Blue imho was too easter pastelish, sounds like it has a lot of fans though.

I just learned from GM that Admiral Blue will be coming to an end. The last chance to order it will be June and the buildout will be in August. Admiral Blue now joins Watkins Glen Gray Metallic as colors that will be ending. The last month to order Watkins Glen Gray is May and that color will buildout in June. GM says replacement colors are coming soon.

Or because they didn't sell well.

Admiral blue: 7.3%
Black rose: 2.3%
I'm slightly surprised at losing WGG though. That was the 4th most popular color in 2018.

They'll let the royal blue/dark grey thing rest for a few years, and then they will return with just a slightly different shade. It's about time for Le Mans Blue to return.
I am a poster child for this. I traded a perfectly good '14, because Sebring Orange really floated my boat. Had it not come along, I'd still be in my '14.

Wow...
Wow...I traded in my 2014 Torch Red (which I loved) to get my 2017 Admiral Blue because the color just blew me away. I've never had any interest in a blue car until AB came out. Everywhere I go people comment on how beautiful the color is. I get more compliments than I did with my 2014 TR. I'll be interested in seeing the replacement colors. At least Cadillac owners can still get the color. It's Opulent Blue on Caddy's. My build sheet says Opulent Blue actually.
