Make a trip to Germany and enjoy our German Autobahn without Speed Limit.

Usually between 4-6 in the morning there are less cops and traffic. I get my need for speed in this time frame because I have to be at work at 6 AM and I live about 7 miles away. I can get after it but not at 90 MPH!!!

FWIW - It may be worth noting that pre-dawn early morning is also prime time for deer and racoon to be out roaming, and we all know they don't know (or care) anything about cars traveling at speed.

It is called for. This is yet another guy who believes he has the right to "drive it like he stole it" and tell other people to get out of his way. People like this, including the OP, are dangerous to the lives and safety of others. One can only hope they get their licenses suspended permanently before they kill someone. The only thing they should be riding is a bus.

It's all good 'cause he's entitled. He worked hard to get his Vette at 51 and that alone should get him off the hook if he runs over a kid in a crosswalk.

I don't feel like I deserve to be a danger to others because I didn't work as hard apparently. I didn't get my Grandsport till age 52.

True enough, and it's worth pointing out that the autobahn is a limited access highway and that unlimited speed limits are allowed only on PARTS of the Autobahn so designated. It's not a complete free-for-all. Further, other strictly-enforced laws allow this to work. For example, you may not pass on the right, even if that lane is clear, ever. The proper way to deal with it is to move right. And if you EVER did 90 in a 45, you would no longer have a car and you would be in jail. Period. They don't mess around.

Go to the race track dude. I've done stupid stuff like you in the past and it's not too late for you to change. Nothing scarier than someone with no value of their own life on the road

In a 45 zone everyone around you expects traffic to be traveling at or around that speed so they will likely misjudge your closing rate and pull out in front of you. The accidental will occur and you will go to jail for vehicular manslaughter. Your name from that point forward will be synonymous with hate. But it’s all cool you can’t resist because it’s so fun.

I have 3 places within 5 miles of my house where I hit 140-150 plus for a few seconds blow some cobs out then back down.

Full vision ahead cruise through first to make sure it clear pretty safe been doing the same thing for 42 years although living in a different state so different spots and no problems so far. What's the point of having the HP if you never use it~!

I must admit reading this thread has humbled me and I know I wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror if an innocent person lost their life because of my need for speed. I looked and found palm beach international raceway nearby has lots of events I can enter for a relatively low fee so I think I will contact them tomorrow and see what options I have for track days, etc. I am also going to Ron Fellow's Spring Mountain near Vegas on May 2-3 where they will give me a z06 with the same specs as my own car so I can learn more during my 2 days there.

You will probably love the Spring mountain thing and the track both.
