Can't you just change the setting to keep the exhaust in Track mode in the on screen settings? Thats what I did on my Grand Sport and the exhaust stays in track mode independently of the suspension and steering settings.
This allows me to go in and make it quieter once in awhile such as leaving for Coffe ANd Cars at 6am on weekends so I don't tick off the neighbors.

Nevermind the breaker ! There is a kit offered for a remote control that shuts the exhaust valves on or off whenever you please ?
Look for "Corvette mild to wild exhaust on demand switch" on www.pfyc.com

I guess I'm the only one that can select the exhaust from the built in screens? Track mode is just below sport. This put it in that mode and keeps in that mode, regardless of where the **** on the dash is set. You can control the exhaust independently from steering and suspension controls. I guess this wasn't an option on earlier models or on non-Grand Sports? This accomplishes the same thing as pulling the fuse except that you can change it back and forth as quickly as you want.

Kev4, this thread has a lot of useful decision-tree information in it as well as plenty of people stating why pulling the fuse is better than managing the exhaust sound via Sound Management. I think you'll expedite your decision making (one way or another) by reading this thread:

Soonere39, bingo! One can only lead others to water, can't make them drink. We, with less experience, than other more experienced CF members benefit from their knowledge. This is why simply managing the exhaust via Sound Management won't do what pulling the fuse will do.

Just read one of the threads - apparently set in Track it will still close below 1800 RPMs and open above that. FWIW

In automatics, pulling NPP fuse has a very different effect due to nearly constant V4 operation in low RPM/low load conditions. It gets quiet when AFM valves close...and therefore it's quiet even with NPP fuse pulled or in ESM OFF/Track. The automatics DO have a hitch at 1900RPM, but it's inconsistent as noted earlier in this list. It also makes the V4/8 transitions much more audible.

I pulled my fuse a few weeks ago and got to spend some time in my GS this weekend. I like the fuse pulled. In general, I like less government in my life (the valves are there for federal regulations, perhaps noise pollution control) and I certainly like less government in my car's exhaust notes. I like being able to hear more of my car's natural sound(s) without the valves closing below a certain RPM. I think my face is still sore from smiling so much this weekend.
