ZR1 still makes that odd cold ticki ticki ticki ticki sound on start up. The engine is very nicely packaged under the hood...no mess just motor.

Looks strange seeing one w/o the big wing mounted on the rear yet!

Do you have an alternate way to achieve high levels of downforce without an 'eyesore' wing?

First, I have stood next to ZR1’s, both high and low wing versions, and do not feel it is an eyesore. Both are functional and attractive in that respect. The large wing on the ZR1 resulted, even though in a very cool day, beat the Ford GT by over a second at VIR!

Full disclosure: I have no skin in this game as I am not getting one. I wish I were, but not enough $ for both it and the 2020 ME.

As to the Jeff V’s question, the answer is yes — if you design a car from scratch employing advanced aerodynamics, such as the following ME Ferrari Pista (below, where “Pista” is Italian for the word “track”), which has 781 HP/719 TQ, and screams on a race track.

The video below is examples of six major aero components on this Ferrari. And there are many more ME’s which have done likewise without a large raised wing.

Today I learned the fix for the 'ugly' wing on the ZR1 is to redesign the car from scratch.

I'm sorry but that second pic of the Ferrari is ugly. I would be "pista" about that drooped hood. It looks like something fell on it.

I would not even drive one around town with the big wing even if it was given to me for free.I would feel embarrassed and not comfortable at all with that airplane wing on the back . However it is good for the track where the general public can not see you.

Looks great Josh. Congrats on getting one in! Love the orange seat belts too.
