The 2014 C7 uses the rock-solid A6, not the problematic A8.

How many miles are on it, and what do you know about its history?

It has 42,000 miles (kind of high end) but at the price under 40,000 balances out some.

I'd rather get a brand new 1LT for 46-47K from one of the forum dealers. 42K unknown miles is not worth the 7-8K savings and the 2LT options-IMHO.

It’s an ok price but I would pass.... you can easily get one with super low miles for a couple of grand more.

John,
It's a Z51, do you know if it has mag ride? If it does have mag ride, that's a nice desirable option. The MSRP on a new Corvette with the options on that 2014 (assuming it does have mag ride and NPP exhaust) is somewhere around $71,500. While it's hard to pinpoint a discount depending on whether the new car is a 2017, 2018 or ordered 2019, for the sake of argument, let's say a discount of $10K. That means the 2014 has allowed $21500 depreciation for a 2014. If that was a low mileage car, I'd say that was a good deal. But its not. With all those miles and no B2B warranty, I'd say Meh, it's an OK deal. It's not a good deal if you are looking for the Corvette to be a DD. Too many low mileage 2014 C7s out there.

Perhaps Im rushing too much to get one (2nd one in household). This one is pretty close and even some nice extras (heads up display, LT2 etc) but negatives Miles and auto (I would be ok with auto but something tells me I will wish I had a manual). I wont push this. If the dealer comes back with some great offer / financing I may make the 4 hour (each way) drive to personally see it.

Although it wont have the nice LT2 spoiler and other LT2 features Im leaning towards the advice of going for a new 2018 or super low miles 2017 base model. the 40,000 unknown miles could of been rental or hard driving etc.

Buying my C7 has been a tricky thing compared to other car purchases but really a good learning process about corvettes. Big Thank You to everyone helping me in the process.

All of the spoilers are the same on Stingray and Z51. The ZO6 and GS spoilers are different which you can change the wickerbills ( stage 1 or stage 2 ). The red car has red stripes along the targa roof. That can be a indication it is a exposed carbon fiber roof panel. If so it cost $2000 extra from dealership. I did not know this when I bought my 2014. It had exposed carbon fiber roof that I did not like. I sold it for $1,800 buyer also paid another $250.00 for shipping. I bought a replacement for $550.00. I don’t know if it makes a difference but I was a cash buyer. So I checked CL and eBay. I eventually bought of eBay from private seller. You can purchase a car with 20,000-25,000 miles for $40.000. Stick with that goal. 2014 Z51 20,000-25,000 miles for $40.000

You're talking about a 4 year old car. That's not a great deal by any means.

Like others have said, if you get a new 2017-18 you'd be Way better off. A little more money but new with warranty .

Good Luck

I wouldn't consider it as a good deal. They priced it at $39968 vs $40K because it is a mind thing. The car is still almost mid $40 with taxes (for many states). High mileage, No warranty and a cost of mid $40k would not be worth it for me.

Not sure where you live, but check out some local dealers that might have some lower mileage Vettes for sale. One near me is Van Bortel Chevy. They have about 75 Vettes (about 50 used) for sale in an indoor showroom in upstate NY. Ask for Nate or Matt.

Good deal or not, do you want an automatic or a manual? From subsequent posts, it sounds like you really prefer a manual.

If you really want a manual, hold on until you find one. We frequently see posts folks who bought an automatic for one reason or another, then regretted the move and missed the manual. Why spend that much money and not get what you want?

Just an FYI; I've been seeing a lot of ads for 2014's in the mid-$30's range, all of which have turned out to have salvage titles.

Way too much money to pay. For not much more, you can order a 5-years newer heavily discounted C7 with no miles, GM Factory warranty, specifically built to your order.

Looking at the last picture, it appears there is damage to the center console hatch lid. I would expect a much better deal on the year/miles. Keep looking, you'll find it.

I’d pass. There are better deals on cars with lower miles.

The chrome badges and black wheels look a little goofy too. If you like black wheels get black badges too.
