Do you do the "Corvette wave?"

I've been waving at other Vettes since the 60's. One problem today is that with the tinted windows, it's kinda hard to tell if folks are keeping a long tradition alive.

There hasn't been many opportunities for me to wave, either because I'm in my daily driver, no one's driving a Corvette when I am, or we're in the same lane divided by other cars. The one time I was able to wave, I was on my way to get my 500 mile oil change and the behavior was reciprocated.

As a new and first time Corvette owner, I have noticed something: most of the time, when I am driving my Z06 and a Corvette is coming toward me from the opposite direction, the driver waves at me. I wave back, naturally, and I'm guessing that this is sort of a "we've got the car of our dreams" kind of thing that we are all acknowledging with "the wave."
So, is this a real thing, or am I just imagining it? I qualified my observation by saying "most of the time," because, for example, the other day a Corvette was approaching me, so I waved, but the guy driving did not wave back. Consequently, I guess not all Corvette owners participate in this ritual of ownership.
Are you a part of this "Corvette brotherhood?" Do you wave at other Vettes as you cross paths?
Thoughts?

I always. Well almost always. Some times I'm too preoccupied and miss one. What is funny is when you ate padding a big group. Big waves then! I like it. It' an extension of our family.

The wave started in the early days when there were few Corvettes around. Remember when we drove the car all year long with snow tires in the winter and had to leave the car outside because we didn't have a garage..Well,,,the car didn't disintergrate and look what the survivors are worth today.
I always wave and if I don't get a wave back it doesn't bother me..
So as they say in the classics " Save the Wave "

The WAVE has been going on since the 60's.
If you going to be part of the Vette Community you should always wave.
If the other guy sees you and doesn't wave back, he's a jerk!

No matter the generation if it's a Corvette, and I see it I wave. Don't cost nothing, and it's the only way to "Save the Wave".
