9 speaker vs 10 speaker

Melting Slicks
If you look on your RPO decal (located under the cargo area floor panel), the 9 speaker system is RPO code "UQA", which is standard on 1LT & 1LZ trim levels. The 10 speaker system is RPO code "UQS", which is standard on 2LT, 2LZ, 3LT, and 3LZ trim levels.

Or it's easier to just look in the rear

My 3LT is a 9 speaker system.......It's a convertible. I don't care much how it sounds. The cockpit is not a concert hall.

But agree if I want to hear "good music" I go to our Town's new Performing Arts Center! Even my surround sound system in the house is good but the C7 is so noisy why bother looking for great music! My C7 sound system is on 99% of the time and does a fine job of drowning enough of the tire/road noise. I seldom have a passenger and my iPhone is set not to receive calls when moving! I did not even set up Blue Tooth so I would not be tempted. Plenty of time to call when I park and don't have to watch for all the distracted drivers who are talking on the phone! Great to be retired!

I have the 10 speaker option. While its ok i wouldn't say it's great. It definately needs better highs, they concentrated too much on the low end.

And the sub does make listening at lower levels more enjoyable to me. Exactly what my C6 was missing bottom end.

Thanks, I just wouldn't put it past them to have speaker grills with no speakers like I have seen in other cars. I know the 14 doesn't have a lot of other things the newer models got so I just wanted to ask. I wasn't sure if the rear sub even works and when I went to look before posting it started raining so didn't mess with trying to pull the interior off to look. I know the 14 audio options aren't the same software wise and it lacks the adjustments the newer cars come with.

That is why bass is so important- you feel it!
Also, unfortunately the tire and road noise still come through loud and clear! I use my sound system 99% of the time to drown out the outside noise.
Have my NPP set at "always Track." Also have a low restriction oiled cotton aFe intake system and at WOT the intake "Sucking Sound" = NPP exhaust and drown out all music!
