What's the average install time for rocker, brake duct, door and fender combo kit?
I have a GS on order with a museum delivery, and I am doing a lot of handwringing about the drive home (wrap there, novistrectch, track wrap, painter's tape)

TIA

First off, congratulations on the new ride! Very exciting!

I understand what your going through. She's beautiful but vulnerable for the ride home.
The kits don't take that long to apply. Fenders around 20-30 min. The Rocker kit takes longer. But to be honest, it sounds like you're going to be a little rushed to get something on your car so you can get on your way home. It sounds like you're doing this maybe in a hotel parking lot or similar? I want to sell you product, but I don't think these kits would be ideal for this scenario.

The kits are easy but you still have to clean and prep the areas including washing the car where the film will be placed. You will need a clean environment, preferably indoors (no wind and flying debris).
Cleartastic is a valuable addition to all C7's. They need em. But for a temporary quick fix for the ride home, I would go with something that you don't care how it goes on, and its no biggie to toss in the garbage when you get home.

I had Xpel applied to my C7 a couple of months ago. They did the two rearview mirrors, and the entire front bumper area, including the lower area where the protusions are, and the headlights. It was done at a Mercedes Benz dealer here in town. The guy that did it has worked there for 11 years, and all he does is the clear bra and window tint. It took him about 3 hours. I thought about doing it myself, but it has to be done just right, to not get air bubbles, and to get it to stick on the edges etc. If you DIY, good luck, but I think its a lot more difficult than a YouTube video or similar makes it look.

Its silly to assume that because you feel you can't apply film, it must be done by a pro.
You see we have been doing this since 1996 (that's 23 years). So we have a pretty good idea as to what works & how its done.

Lets take it one step further, we have been a sponsor selling on this forum since 2001. That's a lot of time. In that 18 years, we have sold countless amounts of kits and have witnessed truck loads of nothing but positive comments from the members. If the product was no good and there were issues, on this forum ... you would have heard, ad nauseam.
In fact most of the pictures on our website are customer and forum members cars! They came out so awesome we ask if we can use them.
If you scroll up a little to post #100 on this thread you can check out some pictures a member recently posted. Those are close too. No issues.. No bubbles. Looks great.

Im sure your install came out good. But don't assume there are no horror stories when you go to an installer. Plenty of "razor cuts in the paint" stories out there too.
Lets face it NO one cares more about their car then the owner himself/herself. So we provide a high end kit, designed by us, supreme film with a built in safety net and incredible step by step instructions which seems to work for thousands.
No bubbles, No issues with sticking to the edges (not sure where you got that from). Awesome fit and protection. You save time and money

Thanks

On your website there are several kits for small areas of the C7. Do you have anything for the front bumper/hood area? That gets the most beating.

Hey Joe,
Actually the most abused area is in front of the rear wheel and the rear fender above the rear brake duct. Those areas get hammered. HOWEVER, funny you should mention front nose as we just finished the nose kit today.
Im having it loaded into the computer tomorrow so I can cut a few kits and test it out. I want to make sure everything is perfect. We will have it on the website and announce it here on the forum too. Probably do a special for you guys to.

JFYI: I installed the clear film on the door sills because
the plastic sill guards were scuffing and chafing the paint underneath.

Any chance y’all are going to make a kit for the front of the hood or bumper?

We are in the process of doing a front end bra but we have to get it so its easy to apply. There's a lot of compound curves to deal with and overcome. We are getting there. But it won't get released until we nail it.

We did not have a labor day sale but we do have free S&H on certain kits. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions!
