*Read this post if you plan on ordering R8C Museum delivery-Mike Furman 301-212-4420*
~The National Corvette Museum offers Museum delivery to help you truly experience and enjoy your 2019 Corvette. This program is designed to help you get the most out of the Corvette hobby!
R8C Museum Delivery
Referred to as OPTION “R8C” and available through me at Criswell Chevrolet when specified during ordering, R8C customers are welcomed with signs and a guided V.I.P. tour of the Museum where their new Corvette is displayed, followed by an orientation and presentation of their new 2019 Corvette.
The customer receives a one-year individual membership to the NCM, a unique gold decal on the inside of the driver’s door jamb, and a commemorative wall plaque (with the customer’s name, date of delivery and VIN) is ordered.
You can also have your friends and family watch on the Boulevard Webcam as you spend your special day at the Museum taking delivery of your custom built Factory ordered Corvette.
I am a Lifetime member of the Corvette Museum and I am also my local Corvette Club's Ambassador for the Corvette Museum. So the Museum really rolls out the Red Carpet for all my Corvette customers.
Place your phone call to my desk direct line 301 212 4420 or email mfurman@criswellauto.com and let me explain how seamless the whole process is. You will never have to step foot inside the dealership.
~Check out my Corvette dedicated web site CorvetteFurman.com
I deal in high volume not high profit. I am now in my 40th year selling Corvettes and this Spring will deliver my 4,000th Corvette!

Best explanation yet of the Museum delivery process
And you also take care of signing up each of your customer’s for their first year of membership to the National Corvette Museum.

Plus you get a plaque for the inside of the car with printing to your specification. It goes above the shifter below the A/C ***** and stuff. It's a great experience. Too bad the plant tours are suspended, though they'll give you a rain check.

Drifting
I haven't enjoyed the Museum Delivery due to the time of year that my new Corvette has been ordered but, I have been at the Museum and seen the excitement several times. Each time, the owners had a big grin from ear to ear. The Museum folks seem to never tire of helping new owners feel extra special!

Couldn’t agree more
Took delivery of my 2019 Thursday at the museum. This was my second museum delivery and I enjoyed it every bit as much the second time around. In fact I don’t think I will likely ever buy another new Corvette without taking delivery at the museum. Random thoughts on why:
-the experience provides a “connection” to the car unlike I’ve had with any other new vehicle including the new Corvettes I’ve ordered to my specifications and taken delivery of at a dealer.
-the museum staff go out of their way to make it a special experience for you and they seem to genuinely enjoy doing so.
-enough changes in what is on exhibit in the museum to make repeat visits enjoyable
-I believe that the PDI your car receives is probably only equaled by the few dealers that sell a high volume of Corvettes
-If they find a meaningful issue the car is taken across the street to the factory to be addressed
-It can’t hurt that the car goes down the assembly line with a paper identifying it as a museum delivery car
-If you choose to drive it home you can make a fun and memorable trip out of it.

Correction from Furman
Mike:
Thanks for the call this morning (Sunday!).
Great conversation on the Museum delivery experience...... backed up by the post above. Ditto, ditto, ditto!!!
And thanks for the correction on the exterior color here. I kept calling it white, when it is obviously Ceramic Gray Matrix Metallic.

Melting Slicks
The museum also takes a little more care prepping and detailing the car before placing it on the boulevard than you probably get from a dealer pickup.
We had a blast doing ours almost a year ago. Got our plant tour in just days before it closed down the tours
All done thru Mike F.
