Powerstop Pads: Recommend? Yes/No
I have a 2017 GS with 750 miles. The stock pads are a nightmare for brake dust. I am pretty sure I back the car down the driveway and need to clean all 4 wheels.
I had a 2014 Z51 and replaced those with Carbotech 1521's. They felt better than stock and had nice initial bite to them. But I still felt they dusted a lot, not as bad as stock though. Weren't that cheap either. They were very quiet, no noise.
I have been looking at the Powerstops and heard mostly good things, but people have complained about their rotors turning brown. That is something I do not want. Seems like everything else is fine (no noise, very little dust) plus a great price point, and they dust less than 1521's (supposedly). I am just wondering if those who HAVE Powerstops or USED Powerstops would recommend getting them.
I'll keep my stock pads for track days since you cant use either pad for the track.
Thanks!

My Z51 had tons of brake dust and I went to the PowerStops vs. costlier options.... very happy and literally no more dust.... and no rotor discoloration... at least so far.....some will argue that Adam's Carbotech pads are the way to go, but the PSs were more cost effective and they work.... for me...LK

Thumbs up after one year. If rotors have a brown tint I can't see it and performance is equal to Brembo pads on the street with far, far less dust. After a few months I thought I noticed a trace of brown tint to the rotors after reading about it here, which if present wasn't enough to dampen my enthusiasm, but I can't see it at all now.

I have them on my GS and Hellcat. No brown rotors, but don't track either car unless you count drag racing the Hellcat as tracking. Could not stand the constant dirty wheels caused by the Brembo pads.

I have the Z26 series. Love them...... NO BROWN ROTORS, next to no dust, no fade on the pedal either.

Powerstop pads are very good
Very little dust and performance is very good for the spirited driving I do... yes I recommend them. Best value for the money.

Thanks for the great feedback so far. I just ordered the Z23's since from what I have read, same as Z26 just with a rubber back and no pad material difference. Got all four on Amazon for $98.
I liked the Carbotech 1521's I had on my Z51, but I felt the dust wasn't really that much of an improvement. And at $400, that ain't cheap. I'll keep the stocks around for track days.
Any issues swapping back and forth between pads?

My slotted rotora have the same Browning effect but who cares? they're rotors. And the difference is amazing vs stock pads. The wheels would be destroyed in maybe a 20 mile drive and God forbid to stomped on the brake. I'm sure the carbotechs are better but in this case I see no difference on street in spritied driving with the powetstop pads I installed.

True, they're very visible rotors and prefer them to be silver vs. brown.
