Explain how the Corvette is; "useless for everyday life?"

I use mine for transportation. In fact ), I use ALL my vehicles for transportation.

Do you not use yours for transportation? ?

My four door sedan cost more than my Corvette. In the last 4 years of ownership I can count on one hand the number of times I have had more than two people in that car. I'm thinking that car is almost completely useless for everyday life. Why am I paying for an empty back seat again--in leather, no less? What a waste!

After you have rowed for over 500,000 miles it will get old, believe me, no matter what it is. So as we stab and steer we will wave as we go by.

I'm well over that and it's still not old. I guess some people get older faster than others. It's a shame, really. By all means wave because you're not doing much of anything else.

That is the plan here. My 2014 vert with 22,000 miles will be paid off in a few months. It has been a simply amazing car that I stop and stare at, every time I walk by. My plan is to wait until the 2nd year of the C8 (when the major dealers will be discounting big), then make the jump to the new model. In the meantime, I plan to be enjoying every mile in my paid off C7...

Hmmm.

Seems to me that one buys a Corvette in order to go fast. Why you would buy one that's known to be slower than another, I'll never know. I can give my right arm and my left leg a better workout at the gym.

It's just so silly to settle for an AT, then claim it's a superior driving experience to the M7.

It's like giving up. You might as well have bought a Malibu.

Have GM's extended warranty out to 84 months.

Been getting monthly offers from numerous Houston area (out of state also) Chevy dealers about their special deals on leftover '17s, 18s, & now new '19s. Some great discounts on those new C7s, but hate the dreaded trade-in shock to my '14's value. Plus it'll get worse with each month.

So either I need to pull the trigger soon, wait til new model '20/C8, or keep & drive it til I squeeze max value out of it or til dies 10 - 15 yrs later, like my previous Mustangs & BMWs...
Yes, the GS looks cool, the Z06’s mean and the ZR1’s pure evil. However, it’s the same platform. Wait for the C8.

Too bad the thread is turning a bit into A8 vs M7, (to each their own and I've had both). I might as well throw in if your next car isn't Z51, then somehow you missed out.

Wait for the C8 in my opinion. If you buy the last year C7 and drool over the C8 you will take a kicking getting rid of the C7.

I just traded my 14 2LT Z51 w/ 82k miles. It was on its last legs. A lot of little things starting to go wrong. Got it Oct of 2013 so I paid full MSRP. Trade in gave me 25k. I knew it was gonna be bad but not a big deal. Picked up an 18' GS with MSRP of 76 for 65k so it took some of the sting away. Glad I did it when I did, values are dropping like mad.

I agree keep your's and wait for the C8 otherwise you are just trading for the same car.
As for shifting gears, my C7 Laguna Blue Vert is paddle shif auto and I regret not getting a car I can really drive. Only reason I might eventually trade it or sell it and get one I can.

I love my C3! 37 years later I feel it still has good looks and style! When the C4 was new I was not feeling it.. I love my C5, what an awesome car! Still looks great to me! C6 did not really stir my interest.. The C7 is beyond amazing for me I love everything about it, except the borderline too small cockpit, but with the C8... Who knows if they will get it right or not.. I might have to wait for a C9!

I have 2014 Z51 with 18K miles and its a DD
that's exactly what happened when I test drove a 2016 Z06, it felt like driving my car inside the cabin, everything was the same. I decided to keep my trouble free supercharged 610 whp. because of that decision i am saving money and not burning money to drive an identical car.
