Our weather is a real rollercoaster this time of year though, we just went through an entire weekend of freezing rain, ice pellets, rain, snow, you name it! But it's made a mess of the roads and it'll be at least 2 or 3 more days before the C7 is coming out for a spin. But at least this looks like it is truly the end of winter like weather and it's going to get much better by the weekend and beyond. I can't wait to really be able to pile up the miles and do some road trips! Our house goes up for sale this week and we've got open houses scheduled for both days of the upcoming weekend and my wife already said "we should go on some road trips!"

The term ice pellets. This is the 2nd. time i heard of that.Boston,Channel 4 got this new weather guy.He mentioned "Ice Pellets" first i heard,I said SLEET it's Called.Guess different names ,different area's?
They recently got a new term, when it's to hard to be Accurate on the forecast:SNOW SHOWERS! HA
That will pretty much helped with their percentages of being close?
More miles coming soon...WE Hope

For some reason they always use the term ice pellets here, even though the more common term worldwide is actually sleet. No matter what you call it, it sucks!

My best drive in my c7 was actually my final one with it. It was the longest and most enjoyable drive i had it my short 10 months of ownership. Drove it from Brooklyn NY 500 miles to Akron Ohio. Great drive there and a great drive home in my new Hellcat. I never really got to enjoy my vette as I had my first child shortly after buying it, so where ever we went we always ended up taking the wife’s car. Traded it in for something that I could enjoy and haul around the family in.
Gone but not forgotten. Great car!
The new beast with 707 angry horses under the hood!

Why does it have to be "angry"? Can't it just be aggressively negotiable?
Meanwhile, my parts in Michigan has gotten a light dusting of snow this morning after about 3 days of rain/ice, and I'm tired of it. Apparently Saturday is going to be in the low 60s. I'm preparing for a midnight run to make up for lost time. Guaranteed 3 hour drive at least. I don't even care where I'm going, I'm just going to drive

I put another 188 miles on mine today, I had to get out of my house today (we're selling it so we had some showings and an open house) so I put the word out to my Toronto area peeps that I wanted to go for a cruise, so I went on a nice little cruise just north of Toronto with 6 other Vettes! (2 C5s, 3 C6s and one other C7) It was a beautiful sunny day and I saw the temperature go as high as 61F, so it's finally feeling like spring here!! Then on my way home from that drive I stopped off in the Canadian Tire parking lot and parked beside a white C7 and the guy came out to his car at the same time and we started talking and it turns out he's a member of this forum and I've seen many of his posts in the Canadian Events section here! Small world!

Oh, even got the Corvette Wave from a guy in a C5 exiting the grocery as we drove in.

I put another 193 miles on mine today! My wife and I took a trip across the border to Niagara Falls NY to do some shopping. It was sunny and hit as high as 65 degrees today, I used the AC for the first time (just for a little bit, most of the time the windows were open to enjoy the fresh air!) I had a funny moment crossing the border though. As I pulled up to the booth, a couple of extra border guards slowly approached the car and one of them said "is this car from the Toronto area? We just got word of a red Corvette with the license plate TIME4SUN having been reported stolen, we're going to need to hold this car for two days!" But as he was saying it, he couldn't keep a straight face at the end so we both started laughing and he said he was just fooling around
On the trip home, I managed a new best MPG of 39.0! I couldn't believe it, especially because I had it in manual mode (so it was in V8 mode the entire time) And also, because I filled up with 93 octane gas in Niagara Falls at Sunoco, it had ethanol in it (in Canada I have been running ethanol free gas, so that's typically worth a little bit better MPG) I had the cruise set to 60 mph because traffic was a bit heavy (but still moving the entire time) I want to try that stretch of road again when I have a tankful of ethanol free gas to see if I can get over 40 MPG in V8 mode. And then once I've acheived that I'll see if I can get 42 in V4 mode. I know, I know, it's not an economy car, but this car will be used to get back and forth from Florida as well as a lot of long road trips so getting good MPG is a major bonus (especially if the price of gas doubles in the next 10-15 years)

Today started out not looking like a Corvette friendly day at all! I woke up at 6:30 and it was 33 degrees and snowing! That went away quick though, and by 8am the sun was shining bright and not a cloud in the sky. So I started off by putting a fresh coat of Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish on the car and then I went on a 171 mile trip, no real destination in mind, but I got a new best AVG MPG along the way, 43.1! With the price of fuel so sky high up here I do try to drive a little slower on the highway (I paid $5.14 a gallon at Costco and most other stations in my area are over $6 for premium!) Most of my trip the temp was around 55 degrees but it did hit 59 at one point. (59 is actually the average high temp for April 29th here) When I got home I decided to do my second oil change, as I've been anxious to start running Mobil 1 5w30 ESP formula (this is a very similar oil to the 0w40 ESP that is now factory fill in the 2019s)
Here are two pics from today:
