3LT or just accept 2LT and the smell of the plasti-leather
Trying to come to the conclusion if I should just accept 2LT and realize the interior will never be up to a porsche, or pay for 3LT (yah, I know there's more stuff that comes with 3LT, but trying to find a dealer who hasn't already added the navigation - this is looking at you favorite corvette east coast dealers . . . , ) it really comes down to 'nicer leather
Is the nicer leather (for a black interior) going be something that is regretted once its paid for? Will a 2LT always leave the pangs, of 'it would have felt nicer if you got the 3LT'? Or is 2LT the sweet spot because the corvette will never be as 'nice as a porsche' so shut up and drive?

3LT COMES with the NAV/PDR
I factory ordered the 3LT...... no regrets. I like the additional color leather on the dash, etc.

I love my 3LT and I do notice my GT seats with the 3LT leather are holding up better than my comp seats were in my 14' which was also 3LT ( comp seats override the 3LT seating surfaces)
I don't think there's anything wrong with a 2LT or 1LT but I also love the upper suede package you get with the 3LT.
This is all just my opinion and experience, but I hope that helps.

Yes, that was the point, since most dealers are carrying cars 2LT cars with NAV, it doesn't make any point to bring up that 3LT comes with NAV into the discussion.
Question for 3LT owners, does the interior of a new 3LT still smell like 'toxic plastic' as new 2LTs do?

I love the strong leather smell in my 3LT-the 2LT doesn't have as pronounced a leather smell.

Just noticed you mentioned getting a BLACK interior....... that is the only color where the 3LT upgrade isn't noticeable on the dash as the color is already black.
I've got the adrenaline red and the added red accents on the dash and door panels looks GREAT !!! Had I chosen black, although it's there, you wouldn't notice it.

If you are using Porsche as your basis for comparison, then the $5k difference for the 3LT is still a considerable savings. I have the 2LT black interior and have no regrets.

I have had both the 3lt and a 2lt I don't see a big difference if any in the leather.

I don't see any significant difference in the actual "leather" quality either. Neither are what one could reasonably call "high-grade" leather products.

I've grappled with this decision a few times myself, my two cents is this boils down to "what you can live with" after the sale and what will make you content in ownership.

Well, so far this one hasn't. Let's hope it stays that way.
Most objective observers have consistently noted that there's isn't a significant difference in quality, just amount of coverage.

I had Napa leather in my M3. It's very nice. However the C7 2lt/2lz is perfectly fine. With black interior I don't think the 3lt/3lz is worth it. Now if one goes with a different color the added contrast is nice though. I went black 2lz with PDR and Nav as an option with no regrets.

I went with 2LZ when I ordered my 2016 because I ordered the black interior and the comp seats (which don't have Napa leather regardless of trim level) Had I gone with a different interior and/or chosen regular seats I probably would have moved to 3LZ but for the combo I wanted 2LZ plus nav was the right choice for me.
A few of the European cars have truly nice leather but not so much in U.S. produced cars.

I went with 3LT when ordering 17 GS . I like the interior gadgets but mostly because in 17 I needed 3LT to get the Spice Red Design Package. Smells like leather still !
