Stock tread depth of MPSS tire?
What is the tread depth of a brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tire 335/25/20. Have a C7 Grand Sport and already need tires again, terrible. This time I HAVE to look for a deal.

9/32nds. I took delivery of a new C7 in mid Feb, drove it 35 miles straight home from the dealer and immediately changed the PSS to my winter AS3+ set.
I just measured the new OEM PSS set after seeing your post.

Guessing you drive it like you stole it since you said replacing tires AGAIN, which is good. If you do enjoy "SPIRITED" driving, I would stay with the OE PSS for superior traction rather than go for mileage. If you go to one of the AS types I believe you MAY be disappointed. Personally, I look at tire replacement the same way as the 93 octane gas & less than stellar mpg costs of having TONS OF FUN.JMO

Sometimes those published specs at Tire Rack and other places are accurate, and sometimes not due to manufacturing variances.
I just measured a brand new mounted set of PSS with a very precise digital tire depth gauge. They may measure a little more when not inflated. See post #2.

I've got 6/32nds on all four of mine after 3,000 miles. I don't know where they started, but if they had 9/32nds initially, I'm amazed at how fast they're wearing.

Oh yea man. No doubt these tires wear fast. They are made for performance and are really soft. If you ever happen to travel through a pebbly parking lot you will hear these tires catch every granule and fling that junk up all on your cars paint. I try to avoid any pebbly surfaces at all costs. Roll though the same parking lot in my 2015 sentra and don't hear anything being picked up and flung which is no surprise. I think all seasons for the Z06 and GS and are going to be a big hit. I feel I would be satisfied with all seasons. These tires are fat enough that even with all seasons your going to get a level of performance and grip. Time will tell... for now though I am scouting ebay for a set of rear's..seem to be some decent deals out there.

Yeah. When I got to 12,000 miles on the tires that came with the car they were done. 4/32 tread left at that mileage. I'll be on my fourth set of tires within a few weeks with 62,500 miles on the car. I got the Michelin A/S ZP tires last two times and get about 25,000 miles on those. I drive it very aggressively.

I hope Michelin releases their all season tires in the Grand Sport/Z06 size before my tires are ready to be replaced. It seems like the tires are rumored to be coming out every few months, but then the release date is pushed back again.
