A) Congrats.
B) Try not to kill yourself, it's pretty easy in a car that fast.
C) The Z-51 isn't a purely base car, but I get your drift. You know like if that's the slowest Corvette, then, um, holy crap. That Z-51 package is something you kind of need in the car if you're going to corner hard.
Enjoy. I have a stick shift too. It provides great peace of mind knowing by simply not having an auto trans you make it impossible for 90% of the world to steal your car.

I'm taking it fairly slow, Your're right, "Holy Crap." I really enjoy the feeling of a stick, always have.....especially with this setup.

God bless you OP. Like you I couldn't wait to purchase my first Corvette. I jumped into a C6 first to make sure it was right for me and not was it right. My friends purchased a C7 from get. And I knew one day I would buy one. After seeing the widebody o knew I wanted one but the price was too much for me to justify. Then the discounts came and I purchased my dream car for the price of a loaded Z51!
you are correct none of us needed more than a "base" corvette which is like saying the ugliest hot chick is actually ugly lol. The base C7 is as good as supercars of 8 or 9 yrs ago. They are awesome cars.
enjoy and RESPECT IT leave the systems on or you will regret it. They will save you when you have that let me see moment.
ps PICS! None of us know what your C7 looks like. Like snow flakes no 2 are exact.

You did the right thing in buying a non-GS, Z51, 3LT, M7!
The 3LT includes ALL the goodies, and the Z51 ensures you're getting ALL of the performance!
The GS is a non-starter. It costs you $10,000.00, and does zilch for you.
Congrats!

A 3LT Z51 is many thousands of dollars from a "base" 1LT non Z51. Good luck with your new machine.

Well, it's about time.
Congratulations. Welcome to the family, and welcome to the forum. Now, you must start practicing your best "Corvette Wave".
Next thing to do is.....Post some pictures of your new baby.
