Upgrading from C6 to C7
Well, I made the jump, never thought I would. Signed the contract for a 2019 Sebring Orange GS Vert.
Buying from Kerbeck in New Jersey, gonna pick it up and drive it to California, making a detour to Bowling Green.
Has anyone done this, and if so, is there anything I should know in advance?
I will post pics when I can, and look forward to meeting some new folks on this forum

Congrats and good move. Maybe I will see you at Plastic Fantastic. Good place to show off your new ride!

Plan your return trip so that at around 500 miles you will be near a Chevrolet dealer and can have the oil changed. It's an important part of the break-in routine that you'll want to get done.
Some would recommend getting some sort of paint-protection applied to the front end to avoid the inevitable rock chips that might occur on a cross-country trip.

EX Red is correct on the 500 miles, but I think he forgot to mention that the 500 mile change is for the Z51 optioned cars. If you are buying a base (non Z51) you can wait until you get home to change the oil. Other than that the only think you need to do is have a ball. Enjoy the ride, and congratulations.
BTW, I went from a C6 to the C7 also. I haven't even looked back. The C7's are that good.

The 500 mi oil change is for all dry-sump cars: Z51, GS, and Z06. So he does need it.

Congratulations on the upgrade. Beautiful color combo and you can not beat a convertible. Other than as mentioned the needed oil change at 500 miles, enjoy it.

The week before I picked up my '18 from Kerbeck's (I only drove back to Louisiana) a couple Forum members bought a Z and drove back to Cali. It's done all the time. Enjoy your trip!

Congrats and enjoy your drive. After you go to Bowling Green, consider taking Route 66 to California. You can pick up that highway in Missouri, after you're done at Bowling Green.

Nope. Just enjoy it.
Your new C7 purchase includes a one year membership to the NCM, in Bowling Green, KY. So, the entry is on the house when you get there.

Congrats. I used a Novi-stretch bra on the nose for my ride from Kerbeck to NW Florida. Sam Kelley rustled up some tools for me to install the bra when I arrived at the dealership.
Does a great job keeping the bugs off. Minimal protection from rocks. I was interstate for the whole trip so no issues. Enjoy your ride home.

The only thing you have to deal with now is the Anticipation. Good look and nice color for your new Corvette.
