How about GM moving this LT1 "Performance Part" to the Accessory Section as (LT1 Bling).

...and here it is folks...step right up GenV LT1. Get your CAI and imagine the beautiful lights it might produce. The increases are phenomenal*! Imagine how jelly your fellow enthusiasts will be.

* no real gains are made for the LT1 except we put on this cool Jake with a Window!; however, the LT4 makes a whopping 11+HP even though a decent tune can beat that! Restrictions apply - we're not sure what this means either but corporate hack said we had to put it here. Only available from GM and must be installed by authorized GM Service Center or we ain't warrantying that ****. Only available in the lower 48 contiguous US states 'cuz this is 2018 and we don't know how to ship stuff .

There's another thread in the Z06 subforum about this filter and the description for this is different than what's posted in the OP. Also, that description comes from an online dealer website and non of the other online dealers (trunk monkey, etc.) seem to have this description.

I ordered one two days ago, and to be honest I don't not care if it increased any horsepower or torque to my 18 z06. We all know, that to see any substantial increase you need a bigger bump stick, headers, port heads and T/B, pulley, meth, a radical tune, ect... I think it just looks cool, I expect a cool under hood swooshing sound @ WOT and I had the money, It is my first Jake emblem on the car and want to keep the warranty for now. Perhaps it will be a let down.

For sure let us know how much difference in sound it makes.
When I put the vararam on my Camaro, it was a pretty significant difference.

You know, I never met a mod I didn't consider, or like lol
But this just seems foolish and overpriced. At 300 dollar's, at a +11 hp gain , I might well have considered it, but 500, plus the dealer has to install it??? That seems ridiculous, even to me. And I really wanted to get one. I guess I'll stay stock.
I'm saving my pennies for Crazy Cowboys insulation kit !!

Looks like the new ZR1 comes with the same factory air box as the LT1 and LT4. Should help the forced induction cars.

I'll be curious to see what power someone gets after installing it themselves and getting a tune...

What a waste, no hp gains on a LT1. The jake logo looks cool but not for $500.
