XPEL by far has the best marketing department in the Paint Protection game and a good product as well. I ended up going with SunTek on the full front and front of the rear quarter panel on my GT350. You really can't go wrong with XPEL or SunTek as long as you find a good installer.

I'll have to check out this new XPEL film when I get a Z06.

Will do.

I had XPEL Ultimate on my 14 C7, and my wife has it on her 2017 Infiniti Q60 RS400, both done by the same installer. I'm having the same installer doing the Plus on my '18. It still looked brand new on my '14 when I traded it, with no dings or tears.

The XPEL promo video above is actually very accurate. My wife had a minor altercation with the edge of our house garage door frame in her Q60, and while there was a fender dent and a lot white house paint on the right front passenger fender covered by XPEL Ultimate, the film did not tear, and the paint underneath the XPEL was completely pristine. The house paint also peeled off the XPEL, and it actually still looked good, and completely adhered over the dent.

I'm dropping mine today with the installer. They received the new Plus film yesterday. This will be his first Plus install and he was bit cautious on how long it will take to finish the job. He also mentioned that Plus will be slightly costlier.

I dropped my new C7 off last weekend for installation of the new Plus film and expect it back Friday. I looked at a car he'd just finished with the new Plus film and was very impressed. It is incredibly optically clear, and I really couldn't tell there was film on the car at all. It appears to have a bit less texture than regular Ultimate, which I had on my black C7, but you can only see that under very bright shop lights. In normal sunlight, Ultimate is essentially invisible as well as long as the installer has done an excellent job.

The new Plus is supposed to be glossier and less orange peel. Your right ,I'm sure it would be hard to tell unless there side by side. I had the old Xpel on my ZL1 for 4 years and I could see some orange peel and it wasn't as glossy as the Suntekt So this time I hope I can tell a difference or else

I want to put a Jake on my hood. Can it go on top of the XPEL or should it be put on first.

Always put it on top never under. Xpel recommends this as well. They want the best possible bond to the naked paint so it adheres the best. Also they don't want any lip or ridge that an air pocket or something could occur by going under

Got the Z back, very pleased with the new film! Absolutely no way one can tell there is a ppf on the panels unless look very closely on certain edges. Quite glossy IMO. Installer did a heck of a job prep'ing and overall installation.

Another toxic post that needs to be called out. BTW: *guarantee this is your new karma

I've got the XPEL ULTIMATE. It works beautifully. I doubt I'd ever use the film as it's intended. Maybe small rocks/sand. I've seen the result on a 2015 C7 without the bra, it took some damage. I try to avoid those as much as possible. Regardless, of all the clear bras I've tried, Xpel easily wins hands down.

Putting a PPF on top of graphics will create a “bubble” between the graphic and the film. I had to remove the fender stripes and order new. IMy installer brought this to me aytention. I actually saw a white Z06 today where they had installed over the hood stripes. It wasn’t super noticeable on the white Z. But on my black, it would have been horrible. The graphics go over the PPF. The ceramic coat over the graphics. I just picked mine up from PPF (SunTek) and ceramic coat yesterday. Wow! It is amazing.

The last 2 pics aren’t videos. They are still pics of the side door.

Just wanted to lave another feedback on the new plus film, I washed the Z for first time yesterday evening since putting this film on and can confirm, as mentioned earlier elsewhere, that the film is very hydrophobic. Water would bead and run off quickly as if it was a waxed panel!

I put the stinger stripe over the top of Xpel using Scotchprint 1080 vinyl wrap.

Be aware and tell your installer that the wrap adhesive is much more aggressive adhering to the film vs the adhesion to paint. Once the wrap is down it is difficult to lift the film off the paint with out damaging the wrap material.
