I wan't that fond of the hood vent either though it's obviously necessary. I decided to order it in body color, and I'm very happy with the appearance.

There's one thing I like, it's a small thing but it's great in my book. That's when you get the opportunity to take a morning ride in the spring. The smell of freshly cut grass, the fragrance of flowers blooming, and the birds singing can all be had with the top down. Great blood pressure medicine.

Fellow vert owners, if you haven't checked out Mods4Cars SmartTOP controller for the C7, you should. It's added a huge amount of enjoyment and utility to the car for me.

From the key fob you can raise the top and windows adding to the factory functionality of only lowering them. It also makes raising or lowering the top work from quite a distance and it's one-touch so you don't have to hold the buttons down for the entire cycle.

It also makes the dash button for top up/down operation one-touch so you don't have to hold the button down to raise/lower.

It may seem pricey, but by far the best money I've spent on the car.

^^^ +1000! This is by far my favorite mod. Single touch up and down from fob or inside the car. No more intermittent stops if my finger slipped off the fob button. Personally, I would have paid twice the amount and been happy!

I can get two roll on suitcases + a duffel bag in the trunk in the convertible.

And still room to spare, and quite a bit more if top is up

Totally agree with you on the looks. ... and taking the top off the coupe is so easy. I love the looks of the coupe, but am thinking about a vert again as we take long road trips and at higher speeds keep the coupe top on.
So, with the top up on a vert it’d be interesting to see how luggage space compares to the coupe with roof on. We do get a surprising amount of luggage in the coupe - but I am seriously considering a subwoofer back there-that could throw the debate out the window.
Once at destination, either top would come off/down.
Tough choice- but both are winners.

If you look at the bare frame you can see how robust it is. The only part added to the coupe is the "halo" that carries the back of the roof and the hatch hinges.

I was thinking the same thing as I don't live in Fla, but whenever I'm in the state I see countless verts of all varieties with the tops down.
