My wife has a HUD, used it the the first couple weeks until the novelty wore off, same with a friend of mine. I find them distracting, especially considering the C7 dash/controls layout.

Loved HUD on the C6, that's why I wanted it on the C7. And it does help keep my head up.

You know what this proves that Chevrolet needs to start selling options again.
Now a days everything is part of a package and you need to pay for stuff you didn't want just to get the one or two things you really wanted.

I feel the 'base' Stingray has the sleekest looks of any C7. That being said, I got the 2LT for, among other features, HUD, Homelink, and memory package. I use each of these, and when needed, appreciate the other 2LT features such as h/v seats, luggage shade and parcel net.
No regrets - prior research paid off.

The only thing I really don't like about the current iteration of the HUD is that it no longer shows the active turn indicators as it did in both my C5 and C6. Sure, they are in the general display in the dash, but in my setup, the steering wheel completely blocks it.

And as long as there are those willing pay a $4500 package price just to get a HUD, or a front camera there's no incentive for them to offer them separately.

This thread and this forum are testimony to the time tested statement, “one size does not fit all.”

I thought I was the only one who found the HUD to be an annoying distraction to the view of the road.
