Cool.
I totally believe it. It was on the internet, so it must be true.

ANYBODY can edit a Wikipedia entry. In fact, I just edited the main article to remove the 2021 date. I could not get to the sidebar, which is listed above.

Not necessary and not even close to the point. I went directly to the Wikipedia entry and edited that instead to remove the 2021 date. If I could have found the sidebar information I would have edited that, too. I have no idea when C7 will end, but I do know that it has not yet been announced, so for Wikipedia to proclaim that it ends in 2021 is pure speculation. And to CITE Wikipedia as meaning anything is ludicrous.

What you did is exactly why Wikipedia is not to be trusted. Makes me wonder why you would edit something that you do not know is true or not true. Maybe Tadge or someone else at GM was responsible for the date....no way of knowing. Lot's of other inaccuracies about the C7 that could use some editing.

I don't understand your animosity here. What is your problem? I edited the article so that it is more accurate. It had an end date of 2021, which is simple speculation. I edited it to remove the end date and leave it open. The article now reflects the reality of what we know without speculation. I know this is "your" thread and maybe that's what upsets you. I don't know. I do know you repeated an errant Wikipedia entry and asked us to discuss it. Well, we're discussing it, and part of that discussion is that the entry you posted is incorrect. You seem to feel that it is somehow revelationary. it isn't. It's in error. Do you understand this? The article as you presented it is UNTRUE. It's not about me, it's about you presenting false information.

He did it....because he can? Which I think was the point he was trying to make. Trust Wiki only as far as you can throw it, or, trust but verify.
No way Tadge or someone in the know is updating Wiki. If they were going to release info I suspect they would to it publicly or at the Bash, not a wiki update

Actually, you don't even need the ability to edit Wikipedia to change its entries. If only temporary, this is especially evident on desktop browsers, complete with debuggers and inspectors that are easy enough for anyone to manipulate.
Unless it's a page pulling information from a 3rd party database on video (see the Conti debate on the ZR1 from last year), I'd take the Wiki information as seriously as instructions on a Hot Pocket.

No reason to get concerned either way....
....as a teacher I allow wiki as a starting point when searching for info; quite rich in it's content, in a constant state of flux and allow them to use it as a "direction arrow" which then must be followed up with supporting/contradictory info/sources....
