Covering that d*mn chrome strip on my grille

Easy DIY fix.
Electrician tape is the best and cheepest solution. From 5' away the chrome bar is gone replaced by a black colored bar that blends perfectly with the rest of the grill. Unless you go to a car show no one can tell the difference. This fix is practical and free. If you do not like it remove it and spend about $ 100 for something that my look better up close.

Tomljanovich - I said the same thing earlier , use electrician tape. I disagree with you on the 5’ thing. I would challenge anyone to tell the difference between my tape and someone else’s expensive solution. I guess some folks just feel it’s better to pay the Corvette tax. Maybe I should start selling black “Corvette grill” tape for $100 per 20’ roll?

Advanced
that d*mn chrome strip
After trying 3 times to cover the chrome strip and not being completely happy with the outcome I went with the RPI design cover. The RPI cover matches the carbon flash better IMHO.

I guess I got lucky, my 17 Z51 had the carbon blackout option so that grill piece was blacked out along with the sting rays and the nose and tail corvette logos.
