The only 2018 mustangs you would need to worry about are the 10 Speed autos with the track pack. Those are the fast ones because they change the gearing in the car to be faster. Just like non-Z51 vs Z51.
Stock Z51 A8 vs stock 2018 Mustang GT A10 would be a good race. Over 100mph the Z51 would pull away though.

Not advocating street racing... BUT ... it's good to see older guys/gals NOT pussying around with their Corvettes. You know whom I'm talking about - ignores the ingrained-to-your-soul need for speed. I give them props, but I'm very undisciplined when it comes to my go foot. Good Mustang kill.

He forgot about the weight difference. My wife drives a '18 Mustang GT. I call it the "Fat Girl".

Guess the blue pill from your weekend was making you feel bigger. Good thing you beat him. Hate it when a Geriatric looses to a lessor, cheaper car and has to literally take actions into his real hands. Goofy post.

Well I am relieved to know the C7 can beat a mustang GT. I am selling my 600HP Nissan 370z to get a C7 in the near future ill be losing a lot of power but as long as I can beat a mustang I'll be okay LOL!

Here is a key diff between the 2 cars... i could care less about horsepower you have to look at other things.
2018 Mustang gt track pac basically 3700 lbs torque 420 ft lbs
2018 base stingray basically 3300 lbs torque 460 ft lbs
The lighter car with more torque with all things being equal ( MT vs MT or auto vs auto both car's with drag slicks ect ect....) will always be faster on the street or track.
400 lbs extra on the mustang diference is huge... i have driven a bunch of 18 mustangs ( a10 & mt ) and almost bought one, but in the end held out for stingray as this is what I've been after since they came out in 14.
The torque discrepancy in the mustang is massively noticeable as well. the coyote motor needs to rev before it goes..... the lt1 has torque everywhere and does not fall on its face anywhere pulls hard from 2k till redline.
