Stock 2014 C7 v New Mustang GT- Not A Fair Fight
First off, let me state that I am not a fan of street racing. I think it is juvenile and reckless. And, being 68 years old and retired, that is not something I bought my C7 to do.
However, today, coming home from the local WalMart, this guy in a brand new, black, Mustang GT, pulled up along side me and kept reeving up his engine, and, pealing out next to me at two consecutive stop lights.
I have to tell you this really started to **** me off.
So, at the third stop light, the Mustang GT jumps out as the light turned green, and, I just buried my foot on the gas pedal. And, that was the last I saw of Mr. Mustang GT, except in my rear mirror.
Yes, i know, not cool. But, that guy really needed to get tuned up regarding which car rules.

Congrats on the kill!! Careful if you come upon a new 2018 model as they are a little faster than the previous ones with 460HP and 10 speed trans and might put up a good fight.

The guy was driving a Mustang. Give him a break. He can't be in possession of all his faculties.
This is the seasoned maturity that keeps me coming back here time and again.

Every Toyota Camry and Honda Accord I pull up next to........I smoke their *** in my Z06. I'll race anyone so I can show them who's boss. LOL.
Actually, my 75 year old left foot keeps accidently slipping off the side of the clutch pedal. Sucks to get old with bad feet and knees, but does make for some entertaining races.....even by accident.
Some even stick their finger up to show me they think I'm number one.

Whenever that happens to me (I don't drive a C7, hoping to soon though...But my German Iron gets that a lot from Asian imports), I'll oblige by revving a few times at the stop light just before the light turns red, just to watch them take off like a bat out of hell and look confused as f**k when I pull up at the next stop light (because I didn't take the bait) with a giant smile because I just made them look like a bunch of bags.
OCCASIONALLY I'd get one dumb enough not to spot a police cruiser parked half hidden (my neck of the woods is FULL of traps. Gotta pay for the high LEO salaries around here somehow. Property taxes ain't cutting it) out of a driveway about half a block away. For those I'll roll down my windows and laugh and flip them the bird as I drive by when they're pulled over by the fine constables of the state of California.
Unfortunately I've only manage to sucker some bag into doing it once. But oh it was oh so freakin' satisfying. It was like the planets aligned and the universe cared.

I'm 73 and I have the same problem in LA with young whippersnappers with my crystal red C7 vert. Be careful and look in your mirrors for black and whites first.

480hp & they usually dyno close to 500 as they're underrated from the factory & pull 11sec quarter miles off the showroom floor.
