Default Sharing my long wait for a dream car story

Today while glancing at my car, I remembered about when I wanted to buy my dream car, a brand new '07 C6 Corvette Z51, I was not able to get it at that time because it was just one car choice for me, I had two young kids going to elementary school at that time. Both kids told me "get it dad, great car for you", but my wife mentioned "it would look very selfish that you buy that car just for you and not ride with us". So I looked for a car that could fit us all four with simillar performance to a Corvette and that car was a '02 Porsche 911 Carrera. 10 long years passed and 2 other four seaters on the middle ('11 Mustang GT & '14 Camaro ZL1), and now that my kids are in College with their own car, was my turn to have my beautiful dream car: a '14 Corvette Z51.

Absolutely, you've paid your dues. Enjoy that beauty, and get ready. Those college kids are going to want to drive it when they come home.

Welcome to the family and, don't forget your best "Corvette Wave" when you meet another member of the family.

Just a crazy guess but can we assume that you're now a happy camper?

And nice car.

Nice story, and great choice. I loved my 14 Stingray Z51. Great car, loads of fun. Just traded it for an 18 Grand Sport.
