The guy that owns that Corvette said he wrapped it in chrome so someone could start a thread about his car on CorvetteForum.

The pink Z06 is themed for cancer awareness. Try again.

Sorry, didn't think I needed to research my "off-the-cuff" post in a humorous thread. It was in no way meant to disrespect cancer awareness!
I also doubt the OP intended to disrespect the owner of the chrome corvette.
(Btw, my wife is a breast cancer survivor.)

I can appreciate it. It's like art. Not everyone likes Monet, or VanGogh...but that doesn't make their contributions less valuable. As others have stated, I personally wouldn't do that to MY car...but if it gives another enjoyment to see it, drive it, rock it, then I say mo powa to 'em!

Getting A Bad Wrap
Good news? It is like a Christmas gift. Just unwrap it.

Also Mary Kay Cosmetics at least used to provide pink cars to their best saleswomen.
Why? If they provided stock colors the cars would tend to get driven instead by [deadbeat?] husbands, and they wanted the women who had earned them to be driving them.

Never thought about the pink color being to keep the husband out of them.
I don't know about Mary Kay, but certain other cosmetics companies that "give" their employees cars don't really "give" them to you. Part of your compensation is paid to you as a lease offset, and you pay the rest on the car. Don't make your quota and your payment goes away. It's pretty ugly, actually.
Last thing I need is my employer helping to pick my car for me, or requiring me to drive a particular brand or color, esp. if they're not really paying the bill!
