Try being content - don't be a hater!
Recently read a post where a forum member had a nice 15, 1LT for sale. Car looked really good and the price was excellent - low 40s. Someone on the forum responded with "Overpriced, no one wants a base 1LT". In my opinion, this is an example of what is wrong with our society. First of all, the car sold almost immediately so that rude comment was not true! We live in a world where many people are never satisfied and feel the need to bring others down. First of all, a C7 corvette is an awesome car and we are lucky to be able to drive one. Sure there are various models at various price points that appeal to a wide variety of people. What matters is that the person buying the vehicle is happy. In fact, I suspect that many people who buy a base car can afford the higher end vettes, but are content with what they have and appreciate the fantastic value, excitement and fun these cars offer! I also suspect there are some people who buy more than they can afford, stick their noses in the air and make stupid comments as the one noted here. This forum is awesome! Don't be a hater - try being content!

That post should have been reported by using the Report Post icon (
). Commenting on the price of a for sale item is against forum rules:
Interference in a For Sale thread
If you don’t like the price or item being offered in for sale thread, take it to e-mail or PMs. Better still, just move on to a thread that is offering something you like the price on.
If you post a criticism of the price or the quality of the item being offered, you will be in violation of Forum rules and subject to sanctions.
If you post your own for sale items to the for sale thread started by someone else, you also are in violation of Forum rules. Start your own thread, rather than jumping into the thread of someone else.
If your contribution to a for sale thread does not advance the sale, you are in the way.

Anything for sale is worth whatever the other party is willing to pay for it. Someone may like a discontinued color, so it may be worth more to that person compared to someone more flexible. Or it may have some other set of features. Some people wouldn’t pay $2 for a Corvette and other say it’s the value of the century for sports cars. Somewhere in between the two lies the truth.

1LTs, are not the preferred trim level. That's not debatable.
If the car was overpriced in some folks opinion - then it was overpriced.
No one with a 2LT or 3LT, ever stated that they wished they had a 1LT.
If you're not happy with or reading others opinions/assessments, then you may be disappointed here.

I have a Z06, 1LT, spec'd for the track. Competition seats. I have never wished I had a 2/3LT.
How could we possibly have a debate about what trim is best. It is wonderful that everyone has an option that should make them happy.
If you can afford any C7, and you are not happy, you have no one to blame but your self.

Oh yes, that's totally debatable, and you're mistaken. On the Stingray coupe, 1LT is the biggest seller by a huge margin. On the GS, 2LT is the biggest seller. 3LT is purchased by only a few.

2/3LT Preferred by those, that ....... prefer it. Good on them.

If the OP was looking for opinions on price/trim level, and didn't like them, then how is that being "a hater??"

A good friend with a red 1980 coupe stopped by today. We took a ride in my base C7 and he was blown away. I told him about the three trim levels and some of the features they have. He thought 1LT was fine and says he may start looking for a good deal on a ‘14 or ‘15. Said there was enough bang for the buck in a 1LT. One size does not fit all.

What trim level do you prefer? You certainly didn't buy or prefer the 1LT.
Certainly not the 1LT. The 1LT may be the sales leader, but it is not the "preferred" trim level leader.
No 2LT OR 3LT C7 owner ever stated that they wished they'd of bought the 1LT.

You obviously did not open the PDF attachment on production numbers. They only produce what's ordered, and what's ordered is the only thing that can sell. What I ordered and what you bought doesn't mean diddly squat. The preferred trim level on Stingray Coupes is 1LT, case closed.
You can't argue with facts, Joe, but you seem to love to try, even though you fail. Fantasy preferences are meaningless. I'd prefer to be making the same money as Jeff Bezos, but I do OK. The real numbers are all that matter and that's all about what numbers are actually being purchased.

Many folks run right out and buy a new C7 long before ever considering the differing options. That's a hard fact.
I'm a very seasoned Corvette fan and a previous new (C3) buyer. I decided to take my time in weighing the different options available Nationally when deliberating the purchase of my new Corvette.
Without base lines and benchmarks, you would never know what equipment you would or wouldn't want your new OR used C7 outfitted.
As I stated, I'm extremely pleased to have spent the due diligence in making my choice, ALL things considered!

You can argue until you are blue in the face, but all that matters are the sales numbers. That's the only meaningful measure of preference.

Look up the word; "preferred." You might learn something new here.
