Corvette Noob That Needs Buying Advice

Get at least a 2LT/3LT Preferred Trim Level. The upgrades are astounding, esp. at the 3LT trim level. Well worth it.
You'll NOT regret it!

For me it was all about those front cameras on the 2LT. I’m a bit cluelesss about exactly how far out the front end of my car really is. The cameras help me be a more informed (and happier) person!
When I decided on a Corvette I checked all the main dealers and the used cars. Eventually I was in the right place at the right time and got exactly what I wanted in a 2018. For me it had to be a 2LT coupe, A8, NPP, with a contrasting interior. The machine face wheels were just icing on the cake.
If only I had the yellow calipers....that’s the one compromise I made.
So, search around and talk to the sales people at the different dealers. Don’t forget about the possible rebates as they will reduce your price. In my opinion, now is the best time to buy a new Corvette. But act quickly because you don’t want the car you want to be snatched up by someone else.

Then I strike.
If I didn't have a Viper in the garage, I don't think I'd be able to hold out though.

[QUOTE=GWS24;1597137591]Yes all automatics. I have almost no experience with manual shift or sports cars,
Then DO NOT buy a Vette. Get experience and learn to drive ( which includes manual ), then buy a red vert with three pedals.

If you don't have experience with sports cars, the 2LT will have a front parking camera ... keeps you from learning hte hard way about parking a long nose, low car.

Look up CT Grand Sport CE, he’s a forum member in your state. I met T.J. at Spring Mountain last year, he’s a good guy!
By the way when you buy new, you get the Spring Mountain incentive. It gives you a whole new perspective on your driving and the car you’re driving, especially in our cramped road environment here in the northeast.
Good luck with your purchase, just take your time, do you homework and get what you want.

Those are all coupes - convertibles are $4,000 more. Cheapest convertible, which is a 1LT A8, is $56k. Looks like the discount is 10% on 2019's.
MacMulkin is 12% off, and they have a very nice 2019 Convertible 1LT, A8 with NPP (performance exhaust) in gray with black interior (MSRP $63,610) foe $55,659 - http://www.macmulkin.net/f_WindowSti...dow_sticker%27
For the OP, MacMulkin is not far from CT, and that car is a 2019 with all you need.

[QUOTE=ZERRY 316;1597144239]Probably good advice, but I'll let you tell me "I told you so" instead.

I really want to thank everyone for their thoughts and input, they have been greatly appreciated. I've considered every bit of advice provided and a decision has been made! I scrapped all three options and ordered a 2019 Stingray convertible from MacMulkin. I decided to skip some latte's as Jerry suggested and ended up with a 2LT with NPP. Torch red with red interior and two/tone seats. I decided to stay with the automatic transmission but was very close to giving manual a go. Since it is a convertible the automatic seemed like a better fit. Had I been buying a coupe I would have gone manual and learned how to drive it while it was being built.
Once again thanks for all the input, Seems as though there is a great community of enthusiasts here. Waiting two months for the car is going to be sheer torture.

OP, glad you went with new. You can't go wrong from what I have read about MacMulkin. They will probably get my business when I order my C-8. The C-7 is an amazing car and you will definitely enjoy a convertible.
